Think I care??? Ha. Straight truth. Underwhelming mediocre. 6-7 win type class
Dont forget where we have been. I had us at 7-5 this season, im sure many did as well. (Admittedly not in this fashion).

Hindsight is 20-20.

Gaurantanimo hadnt shown us anything up to say, Nov. The future wasnt exactly looking rosy.

As far as the class goes...ill grant anything less than 15th will be underwhelming. Just have to see in Feb.

Don't disagree with the underwhelming part, even if we get Washington, but I do disagree with the win total. I think Pruitt gets a lot out of those he gets. We may not have a class of superstars, but I do think we have a class of contributors, guys who are gonna play their hearts out and help us win games.

If we landed Rak and Hardy the conversation would be totally different right now. We just lost on a couple dudes we really needed to take that next step
Go back several months and we were talking about Sewell and Smalls and Jarrett as possibilities. We missed out on all three. We missed out on Ratledge. We missed out on TJB. And while Hardy is still a flip possibility, he's committed to Auburn atm. So yeah, considering all of that, I don't disagree that the class is a bit underwhelming. We, as fans, had high hopes of more. Doesn't mean what we're getting is bad tho. I think the players we're getting will be contributors, and that is still a big deal. I see only a couple of potential bust risks, which, imo, still makes this a productive class. I think they'll help us win games.

We really don't have the talent to beat any of the 4 big dogs in Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, or Alabama. And recruiting classes like this one doesn't change that. Gotta do better
Disagree. I think we have the talent to win if the coaching is there.

This is the first good picture I've seen of Washington. He has Hollywood good looks, so he should go far in life.

I think it’s only That underwhelming bc this staff has been branded as the best recruiting staff in the nation. So when you pair that with our results vs the good teams then i think it seems worse than it actually is.

There’s a chance ,albeit a slim one, this class could include an elite QB prospect so that helps. I do wish we could’ve pulled one big time WR in this class like a Mecole Hardman, Jerry Jeudy etc. i know that’s wishful thinking but we finally have the OL and hopefully the QB to let someone like that eat.

You suck...Are you really saying Harrison has a slim chance to be elite? 🤦‍♂️ Come on man...it is the other way around..there is a slim chance he is not...that I will always agree with about any recruit.

Take a look at the relationship between winning and recruiting classes.
Look at how Clemson got to where they are....development. We are following that same path. After we start winning, the recruiting rankings will come, but development is key. UGA doesnt have it, and Bama doesn't have it anymore.

One thing that amazes me about Clemson is that they've made a large part of their turnaround based on true local boys in DeAndre Hopkins and Kelly Bryant as cornerstones. And that's in a place that is far less densely populated than Knoxville.

There are a few in this class I question. I would love for all of them to do well, but I'd be lying if I said I had confidence in all of them. I just don't feel right calling them out by name.
I've posted in past years that if a head coach at UTK was foolish enough to offer me a football scholarship there is no way I would have turned it down even though I may have been the least talented player in modern history. I can be disappointed at prospects who turn down an offer but it's the coaches' job to sell it. I realize the some guys are just never going to come to UTK for various reasons but the buck has to stop somewhere and the head coach gets paid a lot of money to shoulder the criticism if the class isn't what everyone hoped for. Nature of the business.

Beyond the obvious of not getting upset by ooc cupcakes, who are we going to step up and beat without a talent upgrade. Bama and UGA are not going anywhere despite what some of you seem to think. UF is getting better. Gotta have talent and development. You're not going to win the SEC on coached-up heart alone.

No not him. I’m just saying in general. Great QBs don’t just grow on trees. It’s far more likely that any QB prospect doesn’t live up to the hype vs ones that do.

This is where we need bailey to be special or get lucky with a transfer qb. It’s the exception to the rule.

Development trumps talent at some point.
