I don't disagree with this characterization....but...if the #6 class was built on a handful of the top 5* and a bunch of low 3* and the #12 class was balanced and built of 4* and high 3*, I'll take the #12 class every time. Football is a team sport and the difference between the groups may come down to a few elite players who may or may not affect the team positively.

Yea i mean you never really know until at least 2 years later but if that 6 class has like 3 5 high stars then they are going to probably hit on two of those which will probably trump the classes without some.

The Pete Carroll USC dynasty with Leinhart, Reggie Bush, Lendale White, Dwayne Jarrett was some of the best college football I’ve seen.

Of course, the 2001 Miami team was absolutely ridiculously. Probably #1 in my book. Man, what I wouldn’t give to have put our 2001 squad up against them. Nebraska never had a chance, but we could’ve gave em a game I know it...

Alright, my 8 year old self is going to go cry a little bit now ttyl

That's not really the point. If on each side of the ball you have 5 elite 5*s and 6 2*s that can't find their butt with the help of a friend, you are still gonna lose football games. A lower ranked team with more balance will win more games. In the end class ranking isn't relevant, getting a team *full* of quality players is. If the lower ranked team is better built and coached than the higher ranked team, they are gonna win more games.

Of our current 18 commits, 15 are expected to sign this week. Three will be EEs.

Only three? That sounds positive...that the coaches feel good enough about what we have on the roster that they aren't pushing to get more in faster.

That is a ridiculous assertion, we have never led for either other than a few opinions by insiders. We aren't even considered a threat to sign Washington by the majority of insiders and Morven was committed to FSU until recently.

And on DW, even AV said his "confidence is 90%" and that could change. Sounds good but not so much when it comes to AV, not his usual, 110%, style.

Of course if DW picks Ga, that's not how it will be retold, 🙁.

I don’t think so either. But could you imagine, would kill this class

But that’s not going to be the case because it’s not going to hinge on this class. Also you’re never going to get a class “full” quality players. No one is. But take our team now and our class. If we got an elite QB, WR, LB, and DT and a bunch of nothing that may even only help on STs i would gladly take that. It’s only realistic to get quality production out about half your class anyway.

Any names to speculate on for possible flips?

There's a kid committed to Georgia named Nazir Stackhouse I would personally put on my "potential flip" list. Especially if he's got an interest in playing sooner, rather than later.
