Because he consistently makes decisions in the game that cost him wins. He’s done it consistently. He continues to do it now.
He’s a good coach but not elite.

Paul Finebaum show has been listing the Mt Rushmore of players for this decade for each SEC team. I have seen them do Vandy and USC Jr so far. Wondering who might be TN's Mt Rushmore from 2010 - 2019. Here are my choices:

Josh Dobbs
Trey Smith
Jauan Jennings

I know we own KY and will continue to own them .. but you gotta give Mark Stoops credit. This is the best recruiting class I can remember KY having. They are usually down there around Vandy and Mizzou area.

I think FSU screwed up. They should have hired Mark Stoops instead of Norvell. Either way, I think someone else will hire Stoops away from KY within the next 2 years.

KY has been ahead of Vandy and Mizzou for awhile (as long as Mizzou has been here afaik and Vandy is always a distant last). 30-35 classes not unusual (insert "this isn't your father's SEC" rant here).

We'll see where they land after Feb. Top 25 would be very impressive for them (note how terribly depressing it would be for us). Meanwhile we are going to finish top 5 in basketball :) All smiles south of the border.
