This class has some really nice pieces. IF we land Washington & Hardy, and it sneaks into the Top 10, I think it’s a great A- Class.

What is it missing to make it an Elite A+ Class imo?

An elite WR
An elite OT
An elite RB
An elite ILB
WRs are really hard to evaluate other than the absolute tops. Great ones come along all the time from no where. The 2011 class Michael Thomas and mike Evans were near the 100th ranked WRs. I do wish we snagged a better RB tho.

Eason & Whitehead are pretty elite ILB prospects, assuming Whitehead stays at ILB.

We didn’t even sign an OT, yet Tate would have been a huge flip.

WR I like a lot, not sure we’ve done enough on field to pull a truly elite one yet.

RBs are good I like both, but neither is likely steal reps as freshman.
I think Whitehead is a really nice prospect. We’ll see about Eason.

I don’t believe either are on the elite level of To’oto’o for us last year, or Sewell this year. Jmo.

Agree on Tate. He would have been an elite OT.

I think we got nice WRs & a nice RB (Small). But none that I would say are elite prospects.

All jmo.

Also really wish we landed an elite WR, but considering the speed we have at that position, DW would fill that I think.

Not sure elite OT/ILB are that high on my list of priorities. Got great players at OL/LB, and already have young elite talent at the positions already with Wanya/Darnell, Henry/Crouch.

Totally agree on an RB. Maybe that’s where we see Pruitt pursue a transfer? Don’t usually see that though, they go to the NFL more often it seems.
I’m glad we have Wanya & Wright. Wish we had stacked more elite OT talent on top of them. Hopefully next year. And maybe Perry develops into something big time too.

I don’t think Crouch is on the same level as Henry T. Jmo.

Wish we had snagged one of the absolute top WRs.

Hope one of ours develops into a game breaker.

I think one of Banks/Hodge/Whitehead will be a RB
FR Small
SO Gray
JR Chandler
SR Jordan
SR Fils Aime
Whitehead Small + Gray and possibly Banks would be a strong, versatile backfield. The upperclassman with little production as they have had could be taking up spots at this point.

I've been telling y'all and no one will listen to me. It's the 5. For goodness sakes it the 5. We don't have one.

We could use a real PG, too. Team tonight had very similar problems as the previous game, namely bad shot selection and poor PG play. Defense wasn’t great either. Energy was there, but their screens and curls off the ball gave us fits.

Random, but I think our team went for every single pump fake Cinci threw at them.

Woke up at 7 am today, absolutely excited about signing day, like it was Christmas morning. Then I get a phone call telling my that my wife is in the ER, and everything changed. Didn't care about recruiting, didn't care about football, only cared about getting to the hospital. Things like that put this in perspective. Love on your family, your wife and your children.
Dang man, I am truly sorry to hear this. Glad she is okay.

Man none of those guys sound like the usual 18 year old, still kind of awkward or trying to be too cool kids that most recruits sound like. Mature and confident. Sound like they already know their jobs and they haven’t even worked a day in the office yet.

Liking this class more and more!

I think we'll look back at this class as a huge landmark.

Can anyone explain to me the huge difference in methodology in class rankings between ESPN (18) and Rivals (9)? (I don't mean simply that DisneyESPN sucks.)
@Devo182

Edit: O, I just found ESPN saying they don't go by numbers, but move teams around according to how they want them to place. How we determine our class rankings
Seriously??

That’s a blatant admission that they have no idea how to estimate value, they have zero confidence in their ratings, they’re in it for clicks, or all of the above. Incredible.

The most ridiculous thing is, they say the “human element” they add is based on how well the class complements the roster / fills needs, which is very likely the strength of this class. If anything it should rank better than the sum of the parts.
Exactly.
Sort of a "tell" that they use brown instead of orange as our color bar in the graph?

Not worries about it. Big transition year... but the product the moment is pickled tripe
Not saying he turned into a bad coach or that this particular team is bad. But my point is as soon as he started that stuff with UCLA his clock started here. Where he once had free reign, so to speak, he now will be held to a standard.
