see, i don't get that at all. i htink we lose one for sure. if i had to guess, i'd say Shrout. we already have one transfer QB on campus and took two in this class. i think taking another transfer QB is a waste of a roster spot at this point....

if we take a transfer, i'd prefer it be a GT, and it be on the LOS, either to add depth on teh OL or someone that can play in the DE/OLB rotation....or a big tall, rangy, fast WR.....that will absolutely, 100% graduate.

past that...i'd stay in the HS ranks.

Burrow, mayfield, kyler, minshew, fields, hurts have all made very positive impacts on their teams in in the last two years alone. I feel like we’re in a position now where it’s worth the risk especially if you trust this staffs ability to bring in a class with the majority being productive players at some level.

Getting lucky with a QB this year could be the difference in a 6-8 win season vs a 8-10 win season. I would put out O/U win total near year at 7.5

hangin around the top ten coupled with the ability to DEVELOP talent should do us well if we hit on a few of these guys and they turn out to be steals like Pruitt thinks they are, nobody batting a 1000 but if we were more than a little right on our gambles this class and they are developed like we saw in the last half of the season...

we are gonna see some upset city before long and this train will be gaining some serious momentum. He's recruited winners from successful programs which means they were probably coached/guided well

Feelin a 180 from where i was at mentally after BYU
yeah, i agree. i think the development piece is huge obviously and i think we've already seen enough evidence that this staff can do that.

would like to get off to a better start to the season next year lol.

but pruitt hit the nail on the head yesterday...i think we have a good vibe in the program right now and while we didn't sign some all world class like Clemson or Bama, we signed a bunch of kids that are winners, have great skill sets...with high floors.

i mean really, Harrison Bailey shoudl show up and compete for the starting job day 1. the three WR's we got will probably be 3 of the fastest guys on the roster. Eason and French will probably see significant action on special teams, and i'd bet they find their way in to the rotation at LB somehere sooner than later.

big O could be in the rotation on DL. Baron the same.....

yeah, i really like this class. should see a lot of contributions from a depth standpoint right off the bat. and that's huge for development because very few of those guys are gonna have to be counted on to start from day just because.........and that's been a problem for us the past few years. seems like every incoming class had severl guys in that absolutely had to start simply because their werent other options. that's not the case now.

oh, i get where you're coming from, but the situation at QB for those programs was totally different than the one we have....they NEEDED QB's...we really don't.

Also, I think Perry could become the OT of the future.

Size: got it
Athletic: got it (named all state in basketball AND football)
Mean Streak: obviously has it, playing the DL and dominating

Morris & Wright both enter their 2nd year, Perry could RS and learn the position then work in the 2 deep as a RS-Freshman while Morris/Wright are Juniors because most likely we lose at least 1 of them early to the NFL. And then Perry entering his 3rd year as a RS-Sophomore will be prepared to maul fools

SIAP-Thought this was interesting-per Football Scoop on Tuesday-"South Carolina: Wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon will retain the $1 million salary he earned as South Carolina's offensive coordinator through the rest of his time in Columbia, AD Ray Tanner said.

Big O plays OT so he’s an option

his arm length could make him an outstanding tackle, and a millionaire, hell his hs tape makes me want to move him to TE if we miss out on Washington, he was a terror on some of those wheel routes

Thing is at his size as a 17/18 year old, he carries that 290 so naturally it's hard not to encourage him to add 20-30 more and go make insane money being the next Orlando Pace.

sherrer said he had big hands at 10 inches then I remembered HB has 14... must be like gripping a nerf football to him

So here's the latest depth chart with me removing departing folks. I didn't add back anyone that redshirted either.

Eason, Whitehead, French, Joseph, Baron all the likely LBs should be really excited to get to work. The way we rotate that group there's for sure a chance to get playing time.

DL is going to be a competitive position group. Add back Gooden & Simmons with the incoming guys I think Harris, Savion, Blakely, Middleton might see themselves losing reps if they don't bring it.

WR group will also have some great depth, Brandon Johnson & Deangelo Gibbs in the mix after redshirting. But the incoming guys all have something no other WR does on the roster currently: ELITE SPEED
