Honestly my diamond in the rough is Jabari Small 5'10" 190, 2 year starter in a competitive region. Back to back 1100 yard seasons, career 8.0 YPC average, 39 career rushing TDs had 9 of 11 games with 100 yards as a senior and 8 of 11 as a junior. Caught 20+ passes in 3 seasons with a career 12.9 a catch average and 8 career TDs.

So here's the latest depth chart with me removing departing folks. I didn't add back anyone that redshirted either.

Eason, Whitehead, French, Joseph, Baron all the likely LBs should be really excited to get to work. The way we rotate that group there's for sure a chance to get playing time.

DL is going to be a competitive position group. Add back Gooden & Simmons with the incoming guys I think Harris, Savion, Blakely, Middleton might see themselves losing reps if they don't bring it.

WR group will also have some great depth, Brandon Johnson & Deangelo Gibbs in the mix after redshirting. But the incoming guys all have something no other WR does on the roster currently: ELITE SPEED

This is awesome. I tried to update the classes and took a stab at updating the names...added the red shirts I could remember (shaded red, might be missing some?) and added the incoming class so far (green). Outlined boxes are new starters we will have to replace. Thoughts?

Edit: Not pictured would be Whitehead and Small at RB, Holiday at QB and Perry on the DL

Yep. Last cycle was great. This cycle was not.

Can’t afford to skip classes. Need to take OT’s every class.

True game-ready OTs like Wright and Morris are rare. Tough to get those guys on board because there's only a handful each cycle, plus we've got two guys who look to have those positions locked up for 2-3 years.

Need to take 1-2 a year. I do wonder if Perry ends up there.

I was skeptical this recruiting cycle, a little worried at the lack of progress this cycle. But we closed on our remaining targets and had zero defections which is very rare. Overall I'm very happy with this class. If we can close on a couple of our outstanding big fish or will be icing on the cake.

Agreed. Unless you're Bama, Clemson, OSU, or UGA you have to hope for a haul like we had last year every 2-3 years and then take some projects who need a season or two to fill out but have the measurables. IMO blue-chip OTs are the most valuable recruits for any program.

I'd probably change a few names around.

LG - Calbert (if he stays healthy) 1. Akporoghene
MLB - Banks 1. Eason 2. Whitehead
WLB - Henry 1. Peterson 2. French
FS - Jackson 1. Lawrence 2. Flowers (not sure he'll be 100% to start the season)

Otherwise looks real good, I think Hyatt, Calloway and/or Small all could be in the mix at KR/PR. Depending on who earns the trust and they don't want to RS.

Gibbs has three years to play? Wow

Theo can’t hold off Keshawn

Still need to take a couple each class. Move them inside if needed.

Agreed on the blue chip OTs.

And agree at a bare minimum we should be taking at least a flyer on a long athletic type that can develop. Kids like Perry.

I’m calling my shot. Key Lawrence has 1st round potential all over him. His combo of size and speed makes him a model for this new CB/S/Nickel hybrid we see in the league. He’s my favorite of this class.

Good pick, there's quite a few I could call my shot on. I hope all of them stay healthy, get a good education and enjoy their time playing here. Each has every opportunity to put themselves in a position to have 2-3 years of solid contributing and playing time if they work hard.

My top 5 that are "impact" players with NFL opportunities if I'm just picking right now.

1. Keshawn Lawrence - 6'1" 200lbs 4.5 speed, 41+ vertical, played WR & Safety...it's a bit early...but he's the closest Eric Berry prospect we've had in awhile
2. Omari Thomas - massive men that can move as well as him aren't easy to come by
3. Harrison Bailey - I mean, he's a 5 star state champion QB there's only 4 QBs who passed for more yards in Georgia history 1 is already in the NFL (Watson), the other 2 will be as well (Lawrence & Fromm)
4. Bryson Eason - NFL size already, NFL speed already and hasn't had a single day of D1 college S&C training? scary...what stands out most on tape is how "stiff" of a tackler he is, meaning when players hit him it's like they hit a wall
5. Jimmy Calloway - with his size and speed he can and has played everywhere...my worry here is we never find his place, but whenever he ends up he'll have a chance to be elite there

So many good candidates though in this class, just like last year. Morven/French/Baron could all get in the league too if they show an ability to become pass rushers.
