Still shocked that berry didn’t find a niche as a returner and special teamer

Honestly? He was too slow to be a pure returner at the NFL level.

4.5s and a great runner, but was wasted as a Safety. Would have been a potential stud at RB with good coaching/development. At the NFL level though to be a return specialist there's a different level of gear that I'm not sure he showed he had during camps etc.

Buddy of mine texted saying there’s several threads on 247 speculating about Nieds leaving? Wtf?

I haven’t heard anything about that (not that it matters really) but it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets offers this years. Especially with staff changes that are coming at UGA, Bama, new staff at Arkansas, etc. he’s earned it.

Hell of a bump bass
I was asked to go back and find Warrior in this thread and man. This thread was so much fun I had to bump it.

By the way... imo this kid is the best recruit we’ve signed in decades. I mean, he’s been single handedly more impactful at one of the toughest positions on the field than anyone I can remember. In fact, I venture to say that we lose to KY and Mizzou and maybe MSU also if not for this guy right here. He would be starting at Bama right now also had he chosen to play there. But he didn’t, and he’s a dad gum VFL. And he’s going to be a great ambassador for years and years to come.

Yeah, you're totally wrong on that 50% greater than claim. lol

Dan Fouts had 4802 in 81, Namath went over 4k in 1967 too.

Now 48 passing TDs was big, still not 50% greater. Old Y.A. Tittle flung 36 in 1963.

Yeah, I got confused on yardage vs touchdowns. I was going off memory and thought 32 was the previous record by Unitas. But I see that Tittle had 33 and 36. So I guess Marino only shattered Unitas record by 50% and only beat Tittle's record by 33%. I love Peyton and think he did more to change the QB position than any QB in history, but statistically his TD record is like 12% increase over Marino's in an era that became increasingly QB friendly. Peyton was amazing in how he used his intelligence and film study to excel but as a passer the only QB I think that might rival Marino is Rodgers. It's certainly not Rivers or Stafford.

You gonna bump any of his posts?
