I started trapping them to make coonskin caps and because I would get 5-6 in a single trail cam picture guarding corn and running deer off (it is legal to bait deer in MS so I do it when I need a doe). Then they started getting into trash so it was just time. Anyway, I wasn't going to kill them without salvaging meat and pelt.Raccoons are far too cute to eat. They have opposable thumbs for crying out loud. My granddad used to coon hunt like a mad man and I've read Where the Red Fern Grows but damn I love those smart little dudes.
So is this a hobby or a business? Sounds quite interesting.I started trapping them to make coonskin caps and because I would get 5-6 in a single trail cam picture guarding corn and running deer off (it is legal to bait deer in MS so I do it when I need a doe). @Bassmaster_Vol thinks he didn't travel, he went on a full fledged journey.
Just a hobby. Thought it would be cool to make my own cap and maybe hunt in it for novelty. I don't have the time or equipment to process a lot and sell the pelts, but I know folks who basically trap (animals) for a living or paid their way through college doing it.So is this a hobby or a business? My aunt makes clothes and bags out of deer pelts and cow hides. She made my uncle a coonskin hat for winter.Just a hobby. Thought it would be cool to make my own cap and maybe hunt in it for novelty. SIAP, but if we get this kid, will that have any bearing on Gray staying or leaving?
Lots of onions, paprika and beef cooked really tender. I use some tomatoes as well and serve it over egg noodles with sour cream though others use more veggies and serve over potatoesI don't know what goulash is. It's probably great. But it sounds like something you feed the prize pigs on the farm. The others get slop, but ol' Betsy won a blue ribbon, she's gettin the goulash.
