Not sure if you watch Nova on PBS, but I'm watching last night's episode right now. It's about the science of dogs and using that to answer questions like do dogs live with us because we feed them or because of our companionship. Among other recent studies. Really fascinating and relevant to what we were discussing earlier.
It comes on again tonight at 2 or 3 am I believe.

It would not exist..the social aspect of this site is why it is as popular as it is.I get folks that honestly can't check in regularly, that's why I don't mind answering questions.
But you know that if we only stayed on topic and only posted when there was actually news, this place would be a ghost town.
We've had quite a few different breeds over the years, but our 1st Dalmatian. I miss the Great Pyrenees and Bernese Mountain Dogs. The Pyrenees sure were stubborn to train! Giant breeds just don't live very long.
This is mine btw. Her name is Kona. Had her almost 14 years now.
