You have me "on here" by a couple of years. Don't know, but I would guess it may be the other way around as to has been a Tennessean and Ut fan longest. But to the point, I don't care who brings forth a prospect, I just think their are a few more Tn kids that end up at others schools that I never see where Tn offered. If they are good enough to go to Bama, LSU, ND and schools at this level, then likely they are good enough to at least get an offer from our home state university. Now don't ask me to name one or a few, can't do it. But over on this west side of the state and having the ability to follow mid state kids, it just seems to me I find out that ?? is playing for or going to ?? school and I don't remember having seeen or heard that Tn offered. Once in a while the comment will be Tn had some interest,,,,,, I wonder if we have interest and don't feel we have a chance, they just don't say much or anything, thinking "to say nothing is better than admitting the lost to an out of state school".

it’s just crazy for anyone here to not be impressed with what Mac Brown is doing. It really doesn’t matter where he’s getting his guys. If unc is in the top5 that’s damn impressive no matter the details

Like what you say and I do understand what you are saying. However am I the only follower that gets tired of scrolling through 3-4 or more kids getting offers from Ga., Fla, and every other state from there all the way to Texas and even Calif.?

???? I would venture to guess there has not been many (if any at all) instate kids that have gone to a high level P5 without it being discussed on this site. It’s kind of difficult when you make the argument but can’t give an example. UT generally offers the top 10-15 instate every year (with some exceptions), and the kids outside the top 15 or so really don’t go to high level P5 schools.

I’m not sure what the length of fandom has to do with your discussion. I don’t consider myself old, but I’ve been following recruiting for two decades.

I think it is because Mack has been the HC of a team that is located in a talent-rich state. Texas should ALWAYS have 90% Texans on its team because of how many recruits come out of that state. NC isn't a sham either when it comes to number of solid recruits. We should know since a good number of Vols are from NC.

It’s impressive, but recruiting classes can have context and based on circumstances. That’s exactly what people are saying. For all those that loved to say that Butch’s best class was just legacies, well, this is very much like that. Mack is benefitting from a state with good talent, a good instate class, proximity, and possibly a pandemic (if you believe it helps). It’s not like he’s going to Va, Ga, and TN and getting players.

Actually we were in it until 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter. It would have certainly gone down to the wire if not for you know what.

We both had struggling back up quarterbacks on the field and there was not much according to the eye test that separated the two teams that day.

So many crap calls my god.... the Darrell Taylor love tap was a personal foul, but not the hit on Maurer that concussed him. That had my blood boilinggg.

Yea I agree he’s getting a bump with those factors but not to the degree to say those recruits are “scared to leave home” or “that isn’t recruiting”. That’s crazy.


Unc should never be anywhere close to the top 5 in recruiting under any circumstances.
