AV mentioned that we have a shot at Mondon. With it looking like Willis is on board, are both a take or is it first come first serve? I thought I had read that we may only take 3 LB's this cycle but I may have been mistaken. Seems like both would have a spot if both wanted in.
Edge rushers and ILBs are the current team's biggest depth issues. IMO we should take 3 of each (EDGE & ILBs) this cycle if we can land them.

i think the the absence of spring is a big deal for the development of osme of these guys, so i agree with you. we have some names that we should be able to count on, but no practice, no summer.....

what these kids do on their own to get ready for fall is huge. especially a kid like Eason.

if for no other reason than experience, i'd have to think JJP and Crouch are the two that SHOULD make the most sense. but we'll see. it'll be new to them too in some regards.
JJP has been such a disappointment. This should have been the year where he was ready to take over as an elite player. But alas, that has yet to happen. maybe it will, but I'd be stunned if he didn't show up out of shape like he's been sitting at home eating Cheetos and little Debbies.

My realistic dream finish. Mine almost never end up being close, especially this early, but here it goes...

QB - Salter
OL - Smith, Mims, Pennington
WR - Mosley, Merrill, Marley
RB - Brown, Evans
TE - Montavao, Bell
TE/WR - Nixon
RB/Slot - Wright

DL - Evans, Ingrams-Dawkins, Washington, Jackson
OLB - Brooks and one of either Smael Mondon, Jeremiah Williams, Keanu Koht, Naquon Brown, or Junior Colson
ILB - Lewis, Willis
DB - Wilcoxson, Rucker, and 2 of Terrion Arnold, Howard, or White

I agree he should step up this year but how are you already writing him off. He hasn't had a opportunity yet to step up?

well, it's definitely still a question mark....no argument there. i wouldn't go betting paychecks that he's gonna be "that guy" this year.

but it'd sure be nice if he could be....................

Is Wiltfong just fanboy right now?

How could this week possibly be any better than last week? Multiple face-meltages is not practical. Need some recovery time.
Shut up! No recovery time...just keep boomin’!

OAN: has anyone seen @Glitch post in last few weeks?

I'm not writing him off just yet. But thus far, I'm grasping at straws hoping he contributes. Its amazing that Banks and Crouch, two guys who had never played LB before, were getting playing time over him.

Don't underestimate Neids being their coach now either.. Remember he coached LB's at Bama when Pruitt was DC..

True, I forgot about that. I'm looking forward to seeing what our defense can do this year. There are questions marks, but I am thinking we see improvement. Same system for the 3rd year in a row under a true defensive guru and with quality coaches. Oh boy.

Their average is over 2 pts higher. Gotta give them credit.
That is only because we have a bunch of typical underrated Pruitt recruits weighing down the average..

If I have learned anything about JP and his posse...they really do dig up some badly underrated gems before others catch on.

Yea I agree he’s getting a bump with those factors but not to the degree to say those recruits are “scared to leave home” or “that isn’t recruiting”. That’s crazy.

Unc should never be anywhere close to the top 5 in recruiting under any circumstances.

Mack is gonna Mack just like

Bruin is gonna Bruin.

The only reason he is #2 is the number he has committed and there are a lot of four stars in NC this year, which is EXACTLY what he did every year at Texas, fill up early.

It is what it is.

Welp. Suffice it to say that Brad is not happy with Pruitt.

"I don’t care how good of a recruiter Pruitt is something doesn’t add up here. Tennessee hasn’t been relevant in what 15 years?"

Did We Pass On....?
