I think our response was the right one and the standard one most followed. The goal was to flatten the curve and gain more data. Goal very well accomplished. We crushed the curve. Time to roll the dice a little, incrementally, and see what happens. If it gets nuts, then we already know a response that works and everyone already understands what to do. JmoThe response to covid is just another thing that shows that this country/culture has no balls. Let the damn thing run it’s course so we can build herd immunity and move on. That’s what life done with diseases for billions of years. This isn’t even that bad of a bug! Just pathetic how stupid and scared people are now

What if that was your kidYour are jumping to conclusions. Had he continued to run he might be alive. Had they not been stupid and chased him cowboy style the whole series of events would have never happened. They are responsible for their actions, but those actions don't equal murder IMO. I'd say manslaughter. They didn't go into this with the intent to kill him, imo, but they were very stupid and irresponsible in their actions and have to answer for that.
I'm not defending the actions of anyone here. Just pointing out that the deceased bears some responsibility here as well. Had he been running away when shot this would absolutely be murder.
Have you seen Jack of All Trades on Netflix? Really good and gets deep into all this.
My uncle had Mantles and all other sorts of cards that my grandma threw out when he went to college. I couldn't believe it and kept all my cards for decades, thinking it was some investment as a kid. It sucks now, but I guess it was only yard mowing and allowance money too. What else was I going to do with it? Invest in Apple?
Bug has been going since November. I think the curve flattened on its own. It’s not like we were actually quarantined. People were constantly out and about at stores. Plus there will definitely be a second, third, fourth, etc spike until there’s a vaccineI think our response was the right one and the standard one most followed. When you control for when infections started, when quarantines started, and severity of quarantine measures, there is no statistical support for those measures having worked.Bug has been going since November. Given some lag time (a few weeks) and most states shutting down mid-late March, it looks pretty dang clear to me:When you control for when infections started, when quarantines started, and severity of quarantine measures, there is no statistical support for those measures having worked.
Yeah the whole thing is BS and the long term economic implications of all of this are going to be disastrous. Austerity measures are going to wreak havoc in a year or two when tax revenue is down and cuts have to be madeWhen you control for when infections started, when quarantines started, and severity of quarantine measures, there is no statistical support for those measures having worked.
I'm young and it doesn't bother me. The players health and potentially having a full season is more important than having butts in the stands. If I were younger, this would bother me. After all I've been through health-wise, I'm perfectly okay sitting at home watching the games.
Sucks for everyone else though.
Bringing them back isn’t hard. Getting them to vote is a bit tricky. In an astonishing undeniably miraculous development, Tennessee department of Public Health has acquired the ability to bring people back to life. It's amazing and I believe.
