I at least get pro bandwagoners, to a small degree, because you might follow college or elite players or not have grown up with a pro team in your state...but absolutely zero reason for this in college. It is your state and you reject it because some other team is (currently) better? Go kick rocks! When I go visit my folks in Winchester, it blows my mind how many Bama “fans” there are down there now. In the late 90’s early 2000’s, you wouldn’t be caught dead in those colors. I talked to some at a bar down there... Not one could name a single assistant coach or the coach before Saban. It’s honestly so lame that people just pick teams that are consistent winners. Proves you have zero loyalty or passion
We were top 25 last year, well above average. I don't think even those those people are saying we will step back, but maybe lack the optimism some here have of further progressing.Sounds like our defense is just average. I hope not. We gonna need to keep the games low scoring unless JG performs better than expected.
Tank and Flowers are good I'm not sure about the guys behind them. Warrior single handily lost BYU and kept us from a 9 win season
McCullough showed quite a bit as a freshman. I think he’ll be far better than Warrior.
Tbh I thought it was warrior who let the WR get behind him my badI wouldn't put that loss solely on Warrior. AT is the one who blew his coverage and got turned completely around and let the WR get behind him. Warrior should have made that damn tackle tho which may have saved the game for us. I still can't believe we lost that damn game smh.
“You can tell the foundation was laid well dating back several years before Pruitt arrived. Brick by brick, they were built well from the ground up. I think Pruitt is a step backwards from Butch Jones, but Butch did such a great job setting the table, anyone should be able to step in and win 10+ with the seniors that remain.” -Anonymous Intern
Try watching amongst BYU fansI wouldn't put that loss solely on Warrior. AT is the one who blew his coverage and got turned completely around and let the WR get behind him. Can we just reach a 90+ average asap? We currently sit at 89.96. We finished last year at 89.92! Those last few decimal points really hate us. Wednesday better get us over the hump or my numerical OCD might start to annoy me.
Jackson has been solid at times and Fields has tons of talent. Not sure Labruzza or Davis will ever emerge. But I feel Lawrence will be pushed out there. We need to get him on the field and this seems like the best route jmo.Tank and Flowers are good I'm not sure about the guys behind them. My wife nearly shoved me into the rows below us out of blind anger haha. I was freaking furious, myself. We had more than one chance to put that game away, easily.
I didn’t say Nigel was bad but his first couple years he didn’t show a ton and didn’t get drafted. McCullough showed out immediately as a freshman. I expect he’ll be very good to great next 2-3 years and drafted first 3 rounds. JMO.Y'all do know Nigel Warrior was first team All SEC right? McCullough may be the second coming of Ronnie Lott but he would have to be close to that in order for his play to be quantitatively "far better" than Nigel Warrior.
He ain't gonna have to be the next Ronnie Lott to be considered "far better" than Warrior.....lets not kid ourselves there.Y'all do know Nigel Warrior was first team All SEC right? McCullough may be the second coming of Ronnie Lott but he would have to be close to that in order for his play to be quantitatively "far better" than Nigel Warrior.
