I understand what you’re saying but if you’re a QB you have to pull the ball back to throw it. It isn’t fair to expect someone to hold on to it when someone is trying to wack it out of their hand right after the play starts JMO

If he were a freshman, maybe, but JG has multiple years of experience and still cannot sense the blitz, read the defense, or STOP STARING DOWN HIS RECEIVERS. At what point do we stop making excuses for things he obviously cannot fix?

Here's a plan - we can still beat UF (garbage D), Auburn (meh), and Tamu (meh).

Let's say we drop Bama and go 8-2. That would be a huge finish and should push us into a top 10 recruiting finish...maybe even top 8 or 7. That is the kind of year that pushes us into a very bright finish. Maybe we can sell being up at half vs UGA and hopefully a strong finish vs Bama.

The goal was being competitive. Despite the 4th quarter...we were competitive today. We proved we can belong, but we have steps to go. That is sellable to recruits and that is what we needed.

Outside of bama, vols could win every game or lose every game (except Andy). So could between 8-2 and 3-7, thinking 5-5 unless OL improves and a QB is found. If JG stays at an, then 5-5 is likely.

You can argue it every angle, but bottom line is the offense was the issue today. Defense was put in tough positions all day and eventually got worn down.

Our defense has to get A LOT better. We have a long ways to go. Time for our defense to progress just like we did last year!

Our defense kept us in the game until the turnovers left them gassed from being on the field so damn long.

JG is what he is. The bigger disappointment was the offensive line.

Been thinking on this. I’m very frustrated with the play of the OL, but Kirby put everything in there on them, because he knew JG couldn’t do anything. He left our receivers in one on ones all game because he knew that JG would do exactly what he did tonight if we couldn’t run the ball. Bama’s run game isn’t as good as ours, but they will run better against ga because ga defense will have to worry about the pass. Kirby said, “JG is their QB, let them try and throw it” and we all saw what happened. 4 turnovers.

The people saying that actually don’t understand football. They look at final scores and go “team bad. Fire coach” yeah that worked for us so well in the past. I haven’t seen our defense play that well in over a decade. For those of you about to say “44 points” or whatever. You too don’t understand football. Defense played lights out after stopping the bad penalties and got gassed because they only got a 2 minute break between time on the field. We have a coach, dammit. I’m pissed about how things went to, but I’m damn proud of a large portion of this team. And for anyone out there about to say “moral victories” or something like that, I don’t care about your opinion. I’m gonna be proud because we have an SEC defense once again.

Agreed. Georgia has an elite D and an elite DC as a head coach. We needed a flawless game out of the offense and we didn’t get one. That’s football.

Two years ago they blew us off the field. This year we had a lead at halftime, shot ourselves in the foot on the wrong side of the field, and our defense still held them to field goals to keep us in the game until they got gassed. We are gaining on these fools.

It takes time to climb the ladder. Starts with consistently beating UK, Vandy, Missouri, and USC. We need to be competitive with UGA, Bama, and UF.

We are gonna be fine.

I got a good education on Covid last night. I've been under the weather for about a week and a half and I just thought it was a normal cold. I just treated it with my usual Nyquil and Robitussin. Didn't have a fever until last night and then had a really sore throat with fever spiking. I had my wife take me to an urgent care facility and after two hours, I tested negative for the Flu and Strep Throat. Then came the Covid test and chest x-rays. Chest x-rays were fine, no damage, and I should get my Covid results in a day or so. If it's Covid, I have no idea where it came from.
