We have to beat Georgia or Bama or Florida to recruit at the next level, but we need to recruit at the next level to beat Georgia or Bama or Florida. Frustrating.
Disagree that we need to recruit next level to beat FL. Mullen hasn't recruited great by FL standards. They aren't winning on sheer talent, but great Xs and Os and a great QB. Their defense is suspect. They will probably be our best chance at a statement win this year, and i'll feel good about our chances if anyone other than JG is taking the first snap.

LOL at AP. He was praising Friend just last week. Note to AP; pretty much none of the OL were developed over the offseason. No spring ball, and most of the OL missed so much of fall that we didn't have enough linemen for scrimmaging. You can't develop individual players into a cohesive unit if they can't practice.
AP is almost as bad as board fans. So fickle and emotional. Sack up lol

If those three losses are all blow outs, it is not a good sign. I think 7-3 would be a good season, but we shouldn’t be getting blown out in year three by anyone. We have enough horses to keep games competitive.
Yup we need to be competitive. But 7-3 is a GREAT year. We were expected at 5-5 maybe 6-4 on optimistic side. FPI had us at 3.8 wins. Vegas at 5 iirc. 2 wins over expectation in a 10 game season would be exceptional.

Pruitt also took over a program that was literally rock bottom in the SEC. Kirby took over a 10 win program and Mullen took over a program that had just won the East two years in a row. They had very minor rebuilds and plenty of talent to work with.
Mostly true, except Florida had just gone 4-7.

If he sucked that badly we wouldn't of won any game that we have in the past year.
Its called having two of the best defensive minds in the game with Pruitt and Ansley and playing subpar opponents. Before the Mizzou game this year, JG had never led the offense to more than 24pts against an SEC opponent. We need our OL to wake up if we're going to have any success in the remaining big games. We just faced the best defense we'll face all year. Time to refocus.

Tony Romo was just saying that you don’t have to be a running QB to be affective. He said to think about Peyton Manning and him being able to shuffle and move to PROTECT the football and make plays. Then Daniel Jones does exactly what he said the next play. That is exactly what JG lacks.

Beating their defense won't be the question. Our defense has been the weak part of the team thus far. It will come down to if we can stop the UF offense. ESPECIALLY holding them to FGs. That is what no one has seemed to be able to do. Keep them to 3s and we will have them.

I like our chances...maybe we have a 40/60 game. Pruitt has all season to plan for the offense. Didn't help a ton vs uga, but I think we grab that game. We just need to plan for a Kyle Pitts stopper asap!

JG lacks in all areas

Except toughness

If Pruitt relies on our LBs to cover Pitts we'll be in trouble. Can't let Toney kill us on crossing routes either. How we slow down those two guys will go a long way in deciding that game.

I said it in 2014/2015 and it’s still true for me...I will never take not being an SEC cellar dweller for granted again.

Doesn’t mean I’m okay with us being an also-ran program or being doomed to Outback Bowls and 9-4, but at least there’s some joy in a winning SEC record.

Dooley and Butch showed us that we can easily slip to the cellar with coaching malpractice and we can’t bounce back easily like other programs.
