I don't get all hate for Gary Danielson. I know he licks the sweat from UGA's and bama's , but its a nationally televised show and those are the best two teams in the SEC right now. Of course he's going to gush about them every chance he gets, its where his bread is buttered. In football respect is earned and with the exception of having a decent little win streak in the last half of the season last year against sub par teams, the Vols have been God awful in football for the last four years.
When we went for it on our first 4th down, he immediately said we didn't make it. We obviously made it and he said it with plenty of excitement in his voice.

Yes it has. But they need game experience ASAP. Perfect opportunity this weekend vs a one dimensional UK. Have JG hold the clipboard this weekend and let the other guys play. We’re going to beat UK anyway. And if the other guys implode bring in JG. He does better off the bench anyway. But we’re not making it all season with JG unless we’re happy with 5-5 at best.

I agree
Play him
Really need to go 7-3 at worse this year though
That’s put us 4 best in the sec which is a huge improvement
A win against Florida at the end of the year would be the cherry on top and a probable 8-2 season

Friend won’t pitch until game 6 will he?

As far as Kershaw goes I think the post season issues in the past were two fold. One he was tired after long years with a lot of innings and two Roberts blew it using him out of the pen on short rest which is dumb. This year those won’t be the case which leave the back spasms as the only issue for him imo
Believe it when I see it. He can be great, but he has yet to prove it. I think the Braves win the series in 6.

It's seems unlikely that the NFL will come calling. He retains a final year of eligibility. He loves playing. Why wouldn't he come back?

Now whether he is the starting QB or not is a different question. Hopefully. Please.
Has it been said how that's going to work with scholarship limits? I assume teams still have to be under the 85 if guys come back an extra year or no?

Hasn’t been decided yet I don’t think but precedent has been set In this area

The NCAA allowed seniors to return from last spring in spring sports and their scholarships didn’t count against team totals for this year

We gotta recruit better boys if we want to compete with Ga
Have to start consistently winning. This program bottomed out under butch. Not only did he make us an embarrassment on the field but he destroyed this program’s credibility off the field. You thinks other schools don’t point to all the guys succeeding in the NFL now that they’re AWAY from UT?

Pruitt’s rebuilding it and doing it the right way. It’s just gonna take time for us to get back to where we all know this thing can be. It Took coach majors 9 years to really get things going. Pruitt isn’t even half way through year 3

Wasn't there some suggesting that they would be relaxing scholarship numbers for a year or two? Maybe I imagined that.

i thnk for now we're gonna have to settle for 'develop the ones we got, and the ones we get'.

i think path to the NFL is key here too. not a saints fan, but i was more than pleased to see Shy, AK and MC all playing significant roles monday night.....

i don't know how many guys we'll have involved in the draft in April?

but i do think of the core group, we're gonna start seeing guys getting drafted regularly again.

and i still say there's 4 more opportunities for us to put anothe foot foward and show progress in the w/l column against top competition.

we've, as a fan base, been thru the ringer the past 12 years....and while i'm not overl thrilled right now, i do still see what looks like an SEC football program being built. it is just not going to happen as fast as we hoped....and you can look at UGA, Clemson, and even UNC to a certain degre, as to reasons why. competition is super fierce right now and unforanately our path to breaking thru our current ceiling has UF, Bama, and UGA in the way.

this particular era of TN football really does remind me of the mid 70's-early 80's...

patience. you don't have to like it....but you're gonna have to have it.

Both teams are very good. The Bills were without some very key defensive players that should return soon. Matt Milano would have had coverage duty on Jonnu Smith, who torched the Bills for 2 TDs, and Tre'Davious White, the All-Pro corner missed, as well. Bills had trouble in coverage all night. Josh Allen was not the player he had been thru the early part of the season, and the Titans defense came to play.

The new playoff format has made this progressively more difficult. AS Bama, OSU, and Clemson continue to grab the playoff spots, they have a distinct advantage over the rest of the field.

The more I see of it, the more I do not like it.
