I just think Costello turns it over too much. He's already thrown 9 picks this season in 3 games. I dont see anything Nix is really any better at than JG. Wilson can't throw at all and Hill is just another serviceable QB much like JG.I'd take all 4 of those QB's over JG. Wilson is the only QB i'd hesitate on. (Rather have Gatewood)

I'm of the opinion that if you're recruited as a QB in the SEC, you probably have the ability to manage the position. If not, then why are you being recruited? I find it hard to believe that any of our QB's can be so inferior to JG that they can't even sniff the field. If Pruitt rides with JG for the entire season, without giving anyone any meaningful snaps, we're probably gonna be in deep sh*t next year at the QB position too unless he brings in a STUD transfer. I think we have to play our way out of this mess with one of the young guys. Just my 2 cents and it means nothing.Listen we are still playing behind the 8ball when it comes to talent compared to what UGA has currently. We have started to close the gap and I think in two years we will have the depth on both sides of the line. My only real gripe is the fact that we have whiffed at QB talent since JP took the reigns. It was well known JG was not the guy and we struck out with JT and now we wait for HB or KS to come in and right the ship. We will win and loose games this year based solely on what kind of mistakes JG makes. Only time will tell. I was not surprised JP didn’t yank JG in such a high profile game due to the fact the line would have probably gotten one of the other QB’s killed. I will be Extremely surprised if you don’t see JG get yanked if he struggles this weekend. Sorry for the rant.
Maybe they’ll be BETTER than they currently are...with the extra time? I was a preseason advocate for giving everyone equal shot at the job...minus prescience of an epidemic that would wipe out all preparations. Tinker with everything QB this early and you’re in danger of losing them all NOW. Ask Fulmer. He did it twice...his only two losing seasons.I'm of the opinion that if you're recruited as a QB in the SEC, you probably have the ability to manage the position. It’s amazing that at this point in the 2020 season JG is our best option. Many of us said it all offseason, he doesn’t have it and never will. We need a dynamic QB to get us back to beating teams that matter. JG has never been that guy and never will be.
Hope these Sunday scrimmages get Bailey the work he needs because he’ll be QB1 sooner than later, I don’t care what VQ mods or anyone else says. Bama is going to be up by 30 at halftime so hopefully HB gets the 2nd half and never looks back.
And we need Salter to be the guy we all hope he can be coming in next year.
Having to watch JG trot out there each week for the last couple seasons is such a defeating sight. If it were me I’d rotate HB and Shrout this weekend like Spurrier did back in the day until one of them earns the QB1 job. But JG has had enough time, he’s a good 3rd string backup in this league.
Completely agree. I don’t understand where Maurer has went. At least he’s a playmaker who can make things happen. Yes it has. But they need game experience ASAP. Perfect opportunity this weekend vs a one dimensional UK. Have JG hold the clipboard this weekend and let the other guys play. We’re going to beat UK anyway. And if the other guys implode bring in JG. He does better off the bench anyway. But we’re not making it all season with JG unless we’re happy with 5-5 at best.No spring and a messed up fall hurt freshman and sophomores this year
Dabo does not play in the SEC either. His path to the top was much easier than it's gonna be for Pruitt.Dabo has been at Clemson for 12 years. He has 4 top 10 classes and only just pulled his first top 5 class last year. If Pruitt is the coach for the job, then he will be able to get it done pulling top 10 classes. The next step is finding the QB who can get us over the hump in the big games. Find that guy and win the East 1 time, and the top 5 classes will fill themselves.
