I hate when we lose a high-level recruit, because then a ton of people come over from the football forum and talk about how terrible we are. Like there are a bunch of other teams that are beating UGA (on or off) the field.

Keep going back and forth on QB situation. Wish JG wasn't the guy but not convinced there is a better option. Bailey without Spring and time missed with all the Covid nonsense likely needs more time. The other two likely would not get mentioned in conversation if not for JG's shortcomings, don't think either of them is SEC caliber. Hate to say it but I'm afraid we have to grit our teeth and stay with JG for the short term. Tough situation when QB is the weakest position on your team. Just my opinion.

I agree to an extent. I just wish we could find out for sure that JT and Maurer are not SEC quality. We have never really gotten that chance. Let them play a full game or two. If they look terrible, then we gave it a shot and JG is all we have until Harrison is ready to play. We all shut up then. Ha!

Maurer has real mental sickness..he talked about it himself. It is not a joke, and I feel really bad for the kid. My stepmother is severely bi-polar and it is hell to deal with for her and the family.

Bitching and asking a question about why we aren’t landing championship level talent are two different things? I have repeatedly said I think JP is the guy for the job. It was a question about why we can’t land a 5 star DB. When our staff is so experienced with DBs.

So I'm randomly perusing 247...

I know its a given that Bama cheats....but its crazy to look at the 247 rank of top recruiters and Bama usually has a couple in the top 5 every year...yet when they leave Bama they all of a sudden drop off the rankings and forget how to recruit at a high level.

There has been some serious bagman work being done during the Saban era.

No joke...Alabama operates on an industrial scale. Their fans know it, we know it..heck..everybody knows and doesn't givacrap.

There are exactly two (2) (dos) DBs ranked 5* in the 247 composite rankings.

There are, I believe, 65 Power 5 football teams.

But sure, let’s complain about not getting one of the two 5* DBs.
