I believe will see the beginning of the the youth movement this week. With the cancellation of spring practice and the problems with practice this fall it has delayed what Pruitt has wanted to do. If we get an big lead we will see a lot of freshmen, early and often. If it's a tight game we will still see some new faces. I don't think that Sunday scrimmage is just to get new faces some reps, it's to get them ready. And that includes the quarterback position, I hope.

I believe that the way we lost to Georgia will light a fire and we will have a new sense of urgency to get the young guys in there for the future and the stretch run this year. Can't wait to see it.

I'm starting to understand your irrational dislike for Weinke because I think I'm starting to feel the same way about Friend. Just doesn't seem like our OL plays as a unit, despite the fact we have some incredibly talented players. And he appears to be a liability in recruiting. We did great two years ago, so I'll credit him that, but these last two cycles, while I think our OL recruits seem solid, no blue chips. That's a problem IMO.

Recruiting and development are the key factors to our program becoming relevant again. It's the standard Pruitt needs to hold his assistant coaches to, and I'm not sure Friend is currently hitting that standard, not that my opinion matters. I just hope friendship doesn't blind Pruitt to reality.

I read Harrison and was like holy crap, it's happening, then realized it wasn't talking about Harrison Bailey.

Well, I hate to ruin the narrative and infringe upon the gnashing if teeth over Snitker, but it turns out that the Dodgers bats really hinge on me. I pulled a @Catbone (by the way, his user account doesn’t autocomplete when I tried to tag him...have I missed something?) and stopped watching at 7-0 (still had it recording though).

So, to the handful of Dodger fans on here, take comfort that I will quit watching live. I think that will make all the difference.

When it comes to recruiting... I think kids today are more concerned with the "status".. whats flashy now.. basically bandwagon..

They are more concerned with what people think of where they going to play.. bama or Georgia = ohhhh. They are going to play with the top dogs, people will think they made it to the top of football...

Its the same as asking them if they would drive a lambo, or a 69 camaro with 1000 hp...

Most kids are picking the Lamborghini, when all the Camaro needs is slicks and suspension to blow the doors off a Lamborghini..

Ehh might not be a good analogy, but just trying to say, they only care about the status.
