Just doesn't seem like our OL plays as a unit, despite the fact we have some incredibly talented players. And he appears to be a liability in recruiting. We did great two years ago, so I'll credit him that, but these last two cycles, while I think our OL recruits seem solid, no blue chips. That's a problem IMO.

Recruiting and development are the key factors to our program becoming relevant again. It's the standard Pruitt needs to hold his assistant coaches to, and I'm not sure Friend is currently hitting that standard, not that my opinion matters. I just hope friendship doesn't blind Pruitt to reality.

I don’t believe Pruitt would put his friendship above his paycheck, holding on to a liability on his staff because of personal ties would jeopardize that.

Sark takes over and gets some wins. Saban retires at season's end. Sark takes over. Butch becomes OC but Sark continues to call the plays. Sark implements new style but fails to recruit the right players for the scheme. Players transfer out. Alabama dynasty ends. CFB becomes great again. Rejoice in the streets. But not after 11pm because that's when Covid comes out.

They get too cocky despite lots of coaching errors. Then they get ranked real high in preseason but take an early L to Clemson. Then have a rough outing against UAB but still pull it off. Team starts looking unprepared and deflated. Guys lose interest, a few transfer out and the big ego causes some problems with the law. Lots of negative media and the team declines. They also take a loss to Tech. Dumpster fires. They finish 8 and 5. Recruits see through the BS. Kirby gets in trouble with NCAA in 2022.

Dude you don’t get to take all the credit. I changed out of my dress shirt before dinner yesterday (didn’t want to get slop on it) and put on a Dodgers shirt, then the bats came to life.

This morning, I knew they needed me to keep it going and I don’t have a Dodgers shirt that’s work appropriate (game was 3:00 my time). But then I remembered they’re visitors now so I wore a gray undershirt under my dress shirt. Clearly I brought the mojo. Thankfully I have 3 gray undershirts.

My wife always cracks me up. Watching Dodgers postgame, I pointed out David Ortiz and told her he’s the guy that got shot last year. She said, “Ohhh yeah, what’d that turn out to be, mistaken identity?” I said yeah and she thought a moment and said, “So... they ever get the right guy?”

Took me a few seconds before I caught on and laughed.
