This pisses me off too. If you have bigger, faster, stronger players then get them the damn practice time and stop giving it to anyone else.

I don't see why Jeremy doesn't get this. But he doesn't. He seems to have a PE teacher attitude - winning is not the primary goal. He's after the full development of each player starting with the older guys as his primary goal.

Pruitt will be the coach next year regardless. But he has a choice to make about how he heads into it. If he sticks with JG the rest of the way, we will go 2-3 at best, he will likely lose a significant portion of this recruiting class, the fan base, and start next year firmly on the hot seat.

Or, he can use the next two weeks to get Harrison Bailey ready, and start him the rest of the way. We still likely go 2-3, but he gets HB the experience he needs, and he gives the fan base hope of a brighter future heading into next year.

Today meant nothing, I expected this result. But if Pruitt is too stubborn to realize that he needs to change direction, he’s not going to make it here.

Never thought I’d ever see the RF turn into something I’d see in the FF in the time I’ve been on here. . We lost to a better team, period. Who in here, really thought we would win? Anyone? I always have hope and will in two weeks, but I saw a better team than last week.

Well certainly not after 5 games and some 350 plays Do you judge basketball after 3.5 games? Sample sizes and all...football has a ton of variance and absurdly small sample sizes game to game.

Ga St beat us last year too...then byu...uf and uga whipped us...then we got whipped by Bama last year too (granted defense played better vs a GREEN mac jones last year) and we won out...

People gave up after Arky in 2015 too...

Why not give your team the whole...SEASON? That would make some sense. Look how shaky everyone else is playing too

The equivalent in basketball would be 20 or so games, half a season...in which case, yes, you do also judge a basketball team based on half a season.

Also, atm and Arky are not looking shaky, they're looking super solid.

Yep, I believe Pruitt's goal (it's the only thing even remotely rational I can come up with based on his actions) is to assume this is a throw away year because of CV-19. Based upon that, I think he believes he can get to 5 or 6 wins and a bowl game with JG and that will be enough to add yet another class of upgraded recruits. I think his conclusions are wrong, but that's not even what bothers me the most.

We've gotten worse, year over year, at so many basic parts of football.
- Tackling: worse
- KO Return blocking: worse
- Breaking tackles: worse
- Pass coverage: worse
- TE Blocking: worse
- Avoiding penalties: worse

I know CV messed up a bunch of practicing and everything else, but this is ridiculous. Most other teams seem to have knocked off the rust. Us, we're getting rustier by the week it seems...

I dont think anyone expected to win, but running the ball up the middle on 3rd and 7 and running the same players out there down 42-10 midway thru the 3rd qtr has gotten people a little upset.

It is crazy to me thinking back to the first half against Georgia.

Played with fire on both sides - good drives, great defense.

The team I have seen the last two weeks looks nothing like that team.

I honestly thought KY was a outlier and we would be better than this. Not win, but at least better.

We picked up a few first downs on the ground that were 5+ yards. It is baffling another QB didn’t at least get a couple series towards the end.

☝this was frustrating. It almost seemed like they didn't even want to try to get a first down at times.

Hyatt is not developing. He was being used incorrectly. I called for the go routes three weeks ago.

I could care less about one recruiting class. I would forfeit it for a great coach. We have to focus on great coaching. UT recruits itself especially when we are winning. I have zero faith our administration would make a great hire though if we did fire Pruitt. The problem with waiting another year on Pruitt, if he doesn’t turn this season around, is that we will all know it is just a matter of time and we are giving up a year of development under a new staff.

Metal Vol is correct. VFL’s are pissed. We do not look well coached and we have a JV QB that keeps getting slammed down our throats. I would rather watch Maurer run the option the rest of the year. JG throws for 160 yards and our coach says it was one of our best offensive performances. My gosh I hope that is coach speak.

If this season ends terribly, which I hope it doesn’t, you have your answer on whether Pruitt is here long term. I would rather sacrifice one class for a real coach and someone who can develop talent. Recruits will come when we start winning and showing development. I mean I could care less if we won four games next year because we lost a lot of transfers if we had the right coach and knew he could get us back. It would be better than 6-6 under Pruitt and canning him at year end.

All this to say, I hope Pruitt knew we were losing this game no matter what and played JG for the last time. He gets Maurer and Bailey ready for the back half and we win 3 or 4 down the stretch. We show improvement and the team rallies again. We upgrade some position coaches and get ready for next season. This is best case scenario for our program right now.

No one seems to be getting better and they won't get the FR prepared. Clemson starts two FR on the DL and they seem completely fine. LSU's FR are killing it tonight. None of our players, regardless of class, seem to be getting better.

Hard to say he isn’t getting better when we don’t have a baseline for his skill set.
