I just freaking hate Kiffin. I'm not saying we don't suck. We clearly do. But let's compare coaches on the basis of a common opponent. That's always a great idea.

Comparing common opponents with current teams is absolutely valid. Kiffin made Pruitt his ***** this year in that regard. Our game was over in the second qtr.

If the report that Pruitt took playcalling duties from Ansley in the second half is true, this team might not win another game this season and half of our class is going to leave.

He does from me. However, he needs to keep his nose out of anything involving the offense. Let Cheney or whoever run it. He needs to worry about the defense.

I seriously believe losing Fitzgerald in Strength and Conditioning has greatly impacted this year’s team. The toughness is gone from the past two years.
Giants are kicking azz. Wonder if they’d be undefeated if Covid wasn’t a thing? I think Artis has done a great job, but I’ll wait for him to have a fair shot before my judgement.

No way Chaney was that conservative. Pruitt called out Chaney last week. He's got his hands all over this offense. It's obvious to me he had no intention of trying to win the game. He his goal was to minimize the loss, that he had already conceded.

Problem is that players know this. They are asking the same questions we fans are.

Bingo. Also I believe one of the main reasons Pruitt hired Chaney is mentioned towards the end of the video. Jim mentions working within the philosophy of the head coach to win the football game. Pruitt knew he wouldn't get much blowback from him. I believe he did receive blowback from Helton and that's why he was pushed out. Pruitt is afraid to hire a young, innovative, and up and coming OC in my opinion. Chaney didn't forget how to call plays or help at grooming a QB. Yes he does get pass happy at times but I truly believe if it were completely up to him Bailey would be under center. Remember Bray? Started from the Memphis game on as a true freshman. I absolutely hope that Bailey takes over at some point against Arkansas. If not Sooey Sam will call the Hogs and take down our beloved Vols. If that happens this season is complete toast.

Anybody think losing Craig Fitzgerald has anything to do with some of our regression?
I remember when this board was second guessing him and his salary vs the results...with traditional off seasons. Funny how that different zip code makes that grass so green.

So let’s see here..

If Tennessee fires Pruitt here’s what’ll happen:

Almost immediately (like that week) we see decommitments from everyone in our recruiting class that’s worth a damn with somewhere else to go. Dylan Brooks ends up at Auburn or Alabama, Terrence Lewis stays in Miami, Aaron Willis and Katron Evans MIGHT stick around, Kaidon Salter stays in state because he won’t be able to get to know the new OC. Cody Brown goes to Auburn, Kaemen Marley goes to UNC.. you get the point.

Jeremy Pruitt is almost IMMEDIATELY hired by Alabama as the DC.

False Grumors fire up again, half the fan base says anyone less than Urban Meyer is unacceptable. We don’t have the money to offer him. Fan base goes into a frenzy.

PJ Fleck opts to stay in Minnesota for less money, Matt Campbell does the same at Iowa State, and Bronco Mendenhall at UVA

False report that Scott Satterfield from Louisville is hired picks up steam but is proven false

Hugh Freeze chooses to take the Auburn job over here after Gus Mahlzan is fired

Billy Napier is hired as the new head coach but only on the condition that he takes his entire UL-Lafayette staff with him.. and it falls through.

After all that, Tennessee finally hires Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mike Elko as the new HC.

A slew of transfers happen after Derrick Ansley and Brian Neidermeyer are not retained. Including Henry To’oto’o, Quavaris Crouch, Darnell Wright, Brian Maurer, Dominic Bailey, Doneiko Slaughter, and about 5 or 6 other Pruitt guys that are ONLY here because of that coaching staff. This would likely include Harrison Bailey. Jarrett Guarantano opts to stay for year 6 after the depth chart thins.

Tennessee finishes at 22 in the nation for recruiting after having to replace all of their big departures with low 3 stars that weren’t being recruited by other SEC schools

Cade Mays and Bryce Thompson declare for the NFL draft

Tennessee finishes 4-8 in 2021, and finishes barely top 15 in recruiting with Ty Simpson at Clemson and Walter Nolen at LSU.

Or, this season we finish 5-5 or 6-4. Salvage the class, sign 2 more guys we need and get ready for 2021 with Harrison Bailey as the guy and a potential 9-10 win season on the horizon, and a shot at a top 5 class in 2022.

Think about this before you just want to fire the HC.

If we hired Kiffin for the second time instead of Pruitt I am certain we would be in a much better position.

We would have an offense that could hang with anyone and we would not be seeing JG at all.

Might not have a great defense but we don’t now either.

This. All of this. And I think Kiffin is a D’bag.

What does that say about Pruitt and company?!

KY. 34-7.

UGA with a 4th string QB rolling us in the second half.

14 IN A ROW TO THE BAMMERS.

GTFO.

We are going backwards. Do you disagree Kiffin made the Bama game more competitive?

AT OLE MISS?!?!?!?

Again, GTFO with that nonsense.

You are telling us that we are UT but say that Ole Miss was “more competitive.” Lol. He’s 1-4.

I was thinking the same thing. We would be a 9-10 win team year in and out with him. Just sucks the way he ran out, but hell I’m over it. Lol.
