Easier to mark where you think is correct than where you don’t. Meaning there doesn’t have to be stoppage of play my way if the official is correct

Mark it, don’t blow the whistle and let the play keep going. Then play can be stopped if needed to find proper call by replay
No need to even mark it. Just let the play go. If he stepped out its very very likely theres a camera angle to catch it.

I get the frustration. I'm 49 and was fortunate enough to see the 90's. The streak against Bama was nice, the one against UF not so much. Here's the thing. I bought into Lane but moreso the staff with Monte, Chaney and Coach O. That relationship didn't last too long. I never believed in Derek the Doofus, sure he quoted Rommel and others, but it never felt like he was the right one. Butch, he came from tagging along behind what Kelley had left. Add in his brick by brick and whatever other innuendos and he came across as a used car salesman, especially when you listened to the BJ shows on Sundays.

I won't sit here and pretend JP is the man. I think it's more than fair to question his staffing moves, especially Brumbaugh when it costs the University upwards of 800K. Helton...I can see the allure but maybe JP was too young in his career and had his fingers all over the play calling. I'll give him a pass on that one as I consider it better than Butch promoting Larry Scott. I never once felt like that was going to work. I also think it's fair to critique him on not playing others when the game is over at the start of the 4th qtr.

JP has his work cut out for him no doubt. We aren't tOSU, Bama, UGA, LSU, etc where we can cherry-pick kids within 300 miles of the campus. The days of Fulmer rolling into SC and grabbing a Haynesworth no longer exists. JP and his staff will have to work their asses off to recruit at that level until we start winning. I do believe they're giving that effort. I like the kids they're bringing in.

I personally am willing to wait a few more years to see what he and the staff can do with players like Omari, Keyshawn, Bailey, Hyatt, Lenneth, etc. I do believe he has recruited rather well when you swallow your pride and realize we aren't the UT of the 90's. If he fails to develop those players in the next 2-3 years and we're still losing by 30 to Bammer, then I'll likely agree it's time to look elsewhere. Until then I am in no mood for another coaching change.
Good post man. I agree 💯. If there ever was a time we need stability in Knoxville it’s now. I said give him 5 years, like you said if need be we’ll look elsewhere. This place is rough after a loss😂. God made all kinds

I feel a little bit of responsibility for last night’s loss. My birthday is Tuesday and I’d told a couple people how cool it would be if the Dodgers won the Series on my birthday. Stupid. Stupid. The baseball gods are a mischievous lot, with all due respect.

But it occurred to me, if they do win it Tuesday, if someone had told my not-quite-23-year-old ass in 1988 when I was celebrating the last one, “Hey, the Dodgers will win it again on your birthday! ... when you turn 55,” I think I’d have thrown up on the spot.

Been a long, long haul but we’ve got 2 to win 1. Crossing my fingers, crossing my toes, crossing my eyes, my **** and my nose. Go Blue!
You crossed your Richard? Wow.

Like I said, I don't think he cares about this season. He's using this season to let the cream rise to the top. See which one's fight through adversity. See which players want it bad enough to put in the work. It's really probably the same way Saban does it at Alabama he just is able to insert another 5 star.
Obviously I don't know if this is true or not. But if it is true it would be sadly interesting that so many posted here that they think that's how we should approach this season, i.e., as a throw away year we can use to get ready for next year, and now they're ready to fire him.

I tend to agree for the most part save one important aspect. I think Pruitt gets at least next year to to see if he can figure it out. And unless we have a legit coach lined up, I see no point in making a move. If you make a move you better be hitting a triple, home run wild be nice, but no more swinging just hoping to get on base. JMO.

Forgot to post this on Friday. Thought I’d share a little happiness up in this joint. She was hiding behind my wife’s ovaries but we got some good shots of her. Friday made 20 weeks on the nose and she already measures at 12 ounces. Baby girl is so healthy. We were told she’s in the 75th percentile for her growth at this stage!

I understand that but the more replays you have the less quality of the product for the fan. My suggestion keeps the flow of the game going much better and only makes a stoppage of play when the official is perceived to have made a mistake. Under your the “let the camera get the spot” the game would be stopped every such play.

I would take him back in a heartbeat. The guy has matured and can coach and develop players, not being scared to make changes and adjust. He plays 2 QB's on the reg and doesn't blink. I truly think under Kiffin we would have one loss this year.
One loss every week lol.

From what I can find, next years OOC schedule shouldn't be bad with Bowling Green, Pitt, and South Alabama one "bought" win withstanding. For many reasons I don't think Pruitt should be fired this year. Next year though I see no reason we shouldn't be able to go 9-3. If he cant hit that mark then it may be time to move on.
