Simmons has played a ton and been hurt in two games so far. He played against Bama and had a deflection on a pass late in the game.

Anybody else still aggravated about the defense Saturday, I mean there where what three chances to get picks and several third downs where we could have gotten stops and possibly changed the game and guys just didn't or couldn't make the plays, right play calls and guys just couldn't finish.

Yeah it's been disappointing all season...but it's exhausted. We now have 2 weeks to get it moving in a positive direction. Looking forward now. Let's see this defensive staff earn it.

You know what got under my skin more than anything to do with that game Saturday?

Sometime in I believe the 3rd quarter of the broadcast, Bama Gary and Nessler were mentioning Rutgers getting their first big10 win in years, whatever the hell the stat was. Nessler in what sounded somewhat sarcastic tone says "Rutgers back? Schiano BACK?I!"

Now being a bludgeoned for the last 10 quarters/years-UT fan, I felt like there was a jab intended there. But here was the **** kicker. I swear it, as quick as Nessler says it, there was a one or two second pause of silence and if I didn't hear Gary's punk*** snickering a little into the microphone, I really am losing it. What a pompous ass. I'd pay good money to see Todd Blackledge challenge Danielson to a local Waffle House main event card. Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get that off my chest. Been bothering me since about 6pm Saturday night. Go Vols.

Same here can’t stand them. Did not CBS loose the bid to ESPN for 2021 or 2022? If so what happens to these 2 clowns.

Edit it’s the 2023 season CBS opted out? Still not sure what will happen to these clowns though

Doesn't matter. That 2015 team was good enough to beat Bama regardless of the where they fell on the schedule. Well good enough except one position, HC lmao. That was playoff caliber team and they went 9-4. Jeez sums up Butch Jones.

Every commentator on tv...they just want a story. Change everything, bench everyone, fire everyone, so they can have a fresh new narrative to run with. How many have actually been coaches...with entire programs on the line?

Indeed that was a very good team. Both credit and fault to CBJ. But I'd take another close season anyday right about now.

I think the official should mark the out of bounds spot but not blow the whistle. Then let replay correct the spot if the officials initial marking was wrong.

It’s not an easy thing procedure to know what’s best though

Just don’t blow it dead. That official is responsible for the goal line. If you have replay and there’s any doubt just let the play finish and it can be corrected later.
