I played CAM in college. But mostly RF in high school. Travel team I played exclusively CAM. We were taught to be a bunch of sissies at United Quest then when we were young. Haha!Lol nope. Never was told anything of the sort. We had guys that pulled that on the team. I played CAM btw. I'm familiar with some coaches doing that, to your point but I was not ever told to go down on contact. I've always had coaches who taught us to be physical though.
TE won't be worse, but we'll be young.
losing trey smith on the O line won't go unnoticed, and we may still be searching a bit for OT, or at least depth there....but as a group, the OL should still be very good i think.
QB will be a question until it's not. you're looking at a RS freshman, true freshman or hoping shrout or maurer finally gets it.....
WR should be good to go
RB should be good to go
DL should be better.
LB should be better
the secondary...kinda/sorta a question mark, but i wouldn't be shocked if it turned out to be the strength of the defense next year.
special teams....always TBD imo....it's been a bit shaky this year and i still don't have a ton of confidence when we go out for FG's.
overall, the team has a real chance to be very good. QB will be the biggie imo.
Soooo was Lebron coaching?Come on man. Of course not. Our coach never discussed flopping. I’m talking about when you are young. I remember my first travel team coach always telling us to go down in the box if we were ever touched. Shoot my ODP coach asked me once why I didn’t go down when I was fouled from behind. I said I wanted to score and thought I could still score. I was probably nine or ten.
Why in the world some of these prominent boosters don’t want to win is beyond me. We could have had Freeze as OC and was cleared by the President, yet a booster was able to nix it?? Unreal if true. Looks like we still aren’t all rowing in the same direction on the hill. We will continue to not be able to take the next step if this is all true.
I think as it stands our best chance at flips would be Auburn if Gus gets in more hot water. I have no clue what their class looks like though. Of course we have to do I ur part and win some games too.Hoping we keep most of this class together. Good chance we lose Darrell Jackson, simply because he wants to play with his friend. Could see Jay Jones being cut. Would love to add Green and Malone and get Tiyon Evans back in the boat. Would love to flip some guys, but really hoping we don't end up on the wrong side of a flip.
What was sweet about his cheeks that made him pro style?
As long as JG doesn't melt down again, I think we beat Arkansas. But therein lies the problem. JG is such a huge question mark. There is no consistency and you have no idea which JG you're going to get from game to game. I don't care if it's Sister Mary's School of Blind Travelling Nuns, we cannot survive turnover monster JG in any game. I really wish Pruitt would play another QB, if for no other reason than my sanity.
I was a 6’2 210 lb striker in college. My coach would’ve taken my scholarship if I took a dive in the box.
Hence why I said when I was young. Never once did my coach in college say to do it. But depending on the situation, you should go down. If you are on a break away and someone trips you from behind, do not try to stay up. Go down and get the call. You could get an advantage call if you repossessed and then miss. JW where did y’all play? I was at GA Southern.I was a 6’2 210 lb striker in college. My coach would’ve taken my scholarship if I took a dive in the box.
