Yeah. Of course, if his incompetent head coach had opted for the 40 yard field goal to cut the lead to one score, then there would have been no reason to force a pass in that situation. He was moving the ball down the field to set up a potential touchdown.

Sam Pittman took a 1 win in the SEC since 2017 with what I think is less talent and has them playing to win. Oh, and he’s coaching his dream job at Arkansas.

It’s not even a level playing field. Pruitt had the advantage of past experience with his squad. Pittman came in with just a Fall practice and made it work. Tells you all you need to know about CJP.

Two key non-calls that pissed me off, JG took a late hit from Bumper Pool on the play that took him out of the game. He fliiped over the one guy and landed on the ground, clearly down, and Pool came in with a shoulder to the head. But no whistle. HB's first interception was obvious PI. Hire bad coaches and unproven coaches and live with the results. They thought they could replicate the Fulmer model and it hasn’t worked. Now we are at a place of losing the fanbase if they don’t get the next hire right. You have to hire a Freeze, Peterson, Meyer next. I know it is crazy but this fanbase has been patient and it’s time to move on with continuing to let this admin slap us in the face.

Pruitt needs to hope he can keep this class together. He's safe this year, but after next year, it's looking like another big buyout for a failed coaching search and another subpar, no-name coach. Yay. It's gonna be another decade of dysfunction.

Sorry, McGill, but how do you explain away losing to Arkansas? I can't.

We won't. You're smoking crack if you think we do. After buyouts, we'll go cheap again. We don't pay up front. We pay when they fail.

Gus’s buyout is massive. It’s the only hurdle for Auburn. If we’re smart we do it ASAP and not wait like we did with Butch and miss out on Mullen.

I doubt he is safe. I dont know for sure but I know my VFL will be talking to Fulmer soon and he will get some intel. I highly doubt we keep a lame duck coach who will draw zero interest from the fanbase a year longer if we only win three games.

The harsh and sad reality is I think Pruitt will eventually find success, but it won't be here. I don't think we can be fixed.

Good news is I think our freshman and sophomores are good enough for a good coach to win with and most wont transfer. Bad news is I highly doubt we move on from Pruitt. Yay for mediocrity. I thought we could beat Arkansas and I have been supportive and saying he needs time but tonight made me feel like we’ve hit a dead need with Pruitt. Our only shot at being elite again is to pay up for a good proven head coach. I’d give Chris Petersen, Urban Meyer, Hugh Freeze all the time in the world to get this right because I know they can coach.

He shouldn’t be safe this year with a commodity like Freeze out there. SOMEONE will hire him. UT will be among the group who uses covid as an excuse not to and we will suck for another decade.

He was fine but no explosive plays. Many plays he wasn’t hit until 8 yards down the field and got 8 yards. Very few yards after contact

only 4 yards a carry due to his longest carry was just 11 yards

Yeah, I tried to convince myself passing on Fan wasn’t bad...but like him or not he can coach some damn offense.

Definitely would welcome Freeze at this point. At least if we’re able to score it’s exciting football.
