We don't pay for commodity coaches. We've seen it time and time again. Why would I think this time will be different? It won't.

Bailey stepped up more in the pocket in 2 minutes than any UT QB in the past decade.

....and our coaches did not want to develop him to play early because they were scared he would get too discouraged like JG.... kid ran for his life against the best defenses in HS football and set records.

Fulmer screwed up and gave him an extension that we can't afford to buy him out of this year with revenue down. Right now, the best we can hope for is he keeps the recruiting class together so we'll at least have some good players. That is, if they don't transfer. Probably will and Tennessee football will never recover. We might as well accept we're Vanderbilt East.

I disagree. I’ve never seen or heard about VFLs being so fed up before. I know Metal hangs out with some too and I hope he posts some thoughts as well.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. Pruitt isn't it, and the model we've followed for far too long isn't going to cut it.

He says this every week. At some point its the problem and it needs to be fixed or changed.

This goes to what I said earlier about him being used to having thoroughbreds. When you have studs at every position it's always about execution. When you don't have superior talent at every position it emphasizes scheme and coaching. He can't coach up lessor talented teams.

Running that many times at that point was crazy. You put Bailey in late down 2 scores so you know he would have to throw the ball.

A couple of runs mixed in would be fine but 7 and then no FG? WTF!?

I had so much faith in them, in their ability to develop, to scheme, to adjust, and to recruit players who can bring us back.

I give JP until the end of next season and then we're looking for another HC. That's like acid coming from my mouth.

We'll be lucky to win 4 games this year.

Waiting until next year will be a year too late, and we will miss on Freeze, which is who could be the one to turn us back around.
