And I basically reiterated that again...don’t see that happening even if folks want to....hard to make it work no matter what lens we look through
Maybe y’all need to get out of the way and let someone else make the decisions. Whoever is backing the current decision process has a worse record than the coaches they’ve hired.

This puts me in a weird position where I'm hoping AU beats UT so it makes a case for AU keeping Gus and UT tightening the noose on Pruitt.

And I hate hate hate hate that this program that I love is even making this an option to consider for me.

I’ve already adopted Auburn as my 2nd team this season. War Eagle

We need Freeze. It’s the only way out of this mess. He wants this job. Someone else will hire him. In my opinion this is a critical point in UT football. Hire Freeze and we have a legitimate shot at rescuing the program. Let him walk and we are still in this cycle. This is the first real shot UT has had at getting a proven head coach.
Agree. We don’t have a choice if we want to return to relevance. Thank Pruitt for helping us when we were down to the lowest level in history. Thanks for working hard, but it isn’t working out. He’ll be fine. He’ll be at Bama next year as DC making a mil pet.

Hire Freeze and we’ll be back, and sooner rather than later. That’s the hire that would finally dig us out of the pit. I guarantee you that Ga, Bama, and Fl don’t want us making that hire.

If we don’t hire him he’ll be at Mi, Tx, SC, or AU and they’ll be winning while we’re firing Pruitt and hiring a guy no one else wants in 2021

Anybody else frustrated at hearing this is a 5 year rebuild? B.S.. Bring the right guy in and this thing gets turned around quick. Freeze would have us beating everybody we should by next year and competing with everyone we shouldn't beat, possibly even pulling an upset.

Think about it. Imagine Freeze running his offense against GA this year. I think we are up by more than one score at halftime and probably pull the win out. I also think Bailey is playing instead of JG and Hyatt and company are putting up stupid numbers for freshmen.

Freeze needs to happen. It just does.

Freeze would have beaten Ga this year

As I stated earlier I'm patient with Pruitt because we've really only seen him with one QB. Sparks have happened when other QBs have been put in and that's another reason why I'm being patient (probably too much but oh well). That's why I'm loving this article by Hubbs. It shows what the fans want and with Hubbs saying it publicly then hopefully it is being hammered into Pruitt behind the scenes

I truly believe Pruitt has lost a portion of the team. He needs leaders, the experienced guys aren't bringing it. Better to lose the guys who leave this year or the year after than the guys who you'll depend on 3 and 4 years from now. Surely this registers with him.

Hubbs is the mouthpiece of the AD but also he’s the mouthpiece of the coaching staff, so I’m conflicted by what I think his motive is.

More than anything, I think he sees the writing on the wall and wants to be ahead of the curve instead of behind it.

Would also not be surprised if he’s standing up for guys like Tee and Jay Graham.

Sparks haven't flown. At least that's not how I would describe what I've seen.

Can we all get together and agree that the time to extend coaches is AFTER they have achieved something of value. Can you not just pay them more for remaining years as a reward for milestones short of whatever the goal is?

Losing a guy because you didn't extend him is 1000% better than not being able to replace an underperformer because you've mortgaged the house to keep him from looking elsewhere.

At this point I would still say that Pruitt deserves full support and the speculation about his firing is premature. However, he didn't deserve an extension.

If VQ and Hubbs is the mouthpiece of the University as some claim, then he's getting the greenlight from some higher up to put this content out.
i've never thought they were the mouthpiece, that's WNML and their associated outlets. it hink VQ has been prudent in what they put out there just from a professional courtesy standpoint....but i don't ever get the impression they carry water.

if for no other reason, i think, while most really didn't care for him, Simonton was the "bad cop" on VQ and it made sense given his prior affiliations. it also made it easier for us, as fans, to dismiss him as a cuck and move on....but having a guy like that on the payroll tells me they're not a mothpeice....

AP has alwasy been, imo, what i would consider more of a centerist/realist...but generally stayed away from the extreme takes, good or bad.

but hubbs taking stance, carries some weight, cause he's typically not put himself out there...kind of like an EF Hutton...when he speaks, people listen....lol....but in reality, had simonton been here this season....well, he'd of had a field day lol....basically somebody's got to do it, and hubbs makes the most sense.....for a lot of reasons.

most notably....people will talk about it and it will get reaction from viewers/readers.

I would be fine with a 5-yr rebuild if that is the only option. It isn’t. There’s a path out and the opportunity to take it is available.

We must take it.

Hire this dude now. What are we even arguing about at this point. Stay the same and die, make a move and let’s start talking about those vols againz

Sadly, I don't think many fans are arguing this. It is those in charge and the big movers that are clueless and unable to manage a Pee Wee team, much less a blue blood Div I program.

And I don't care if that sounds like a stupid fan. I've got 15 years of results as my evidence. This is is the kind of results you would expect from a bad temp worker that nobody can fire.

What does that have to do with Fulmer? We have a new President & AD. No one was there then.
nothing. the quote was about what's happened the past 12 years. it wasn't wrong. and as a result, it's pretty much expected that we'll be a bit of a mess administratively. also not wrong.

at least until proven otherwise that is.

Last thing I will post for awhile. Long story short, Jeremy had the info to contact the kid and his dad. He did not ever do it. Some of his Bama friends were trying and even Pruitt's mom was involved. He acted like he did not remember anything the other day. I don't think he hates kids but he probably meant to do something but then he forgot or whatever where it slipped thru the cracks. Regardless, others took the ball and the kid and his father were allowed to use a skybox and got to meet Coach Fulmer. It was a great experience made to happen with VFL's. Do not really care about jackcrevol and what he believes or not. Just got me started out on a bad foot and told Pruitt as much the other day. Of course that was before the Arky game. I just want to win football games and hear Neyland roar again.

Appreciate it🧡🤍 keep being you @JacketVol Never stop making experiences happen for others who are grateful and will never forget it🤘🏽🤲🏽❤️

That's how I took it as well. But even if you're wrong about that, you're right about our mentality. We look for the bad.
Boy we are like a group of crazed dogs around here.

My interpretation of that “quote” is that covid has made this team closer as unit because they had to ban together to get thru the Covid issues. I don’t see an excuse at all in fact I see the opposite
