It's been 13 years since we've backed into the SEC championship game. We're all sick of it. There's others besides you that want to keep pushing reality, but I'd like to have as much fun as possible while trying to get through this miserable season. If Freeze is the 2020 version of Gruden, then so be it. The inmates will be ok running the asylum for a while.

Yet he went to Ole Miss who is in the West i.e. plays Bama every year. Yet Auburn is constantly floated around as a landing destination for him i.e. will play Bama as the biggest game every year. Coaches as good as Freeze don't shy away from top competition e.g. he's beaten Saban and Alabama twice.

and at TN, while we play bama every year, beating them isn't necessarily required to play for the SEC title....so if teams in the West are out, and you want to be at a program in the East that can be nationally relevant....TN still makes sense.....

so does USCe, to a lesser degree....

but it really doesn't matter...any program that is gonna look for him this season has an albatross around their neck. Michigan has OSU. USCe has aTm, FL, GA, we have Bama, FL, GA, Auburn has LSU, aTm, Bama....

the easiest one to me would be michigan....none of the SEC options are "easy".

Ole Miss's loss should be our gain. Bruce probably still misses UT, but he's got a great thing going at Auburn. Can be the same situation here.

Our last two coaches weren't going 8-4 on a consistent basis. Not sure where you're getting that from. Sure, Butch had two out of his 5 seasons at 9-4, but then he tanked in year 5 and got canned. If either Butch or Dooley had been consistent 8-4 they might still be here, IF they were also showing themselves competitive against the elite teams.

Butch literally won 9 games in back to back years and he was a bad head coach.... It took him 3 years to build a roster that was capable of easily winning the East and probably more. Y’all kill me with this idea that it’s just so hard to win here. I’m not saying we should be in the playoff every year. But can we please stop asking like it takes a damn miracle to win 4 non conf games that 3/4 are usually cupcakes and to beat Vandy, UK, USCjr, and Missouri. Have a little more faith in our program, brand, and resources. They are so powerful that we had credible members of football circles picking us as dark horse playoff teams under lyle and Forrest Gump!!! Let that sink in.

Imagine what our brand could do for someone who actually IS a good head coach.
