If we fired CJP, then Vol Nation would turn into "Groundhog Day" from the last search. All the names would surface- Gundy, Manning (with zero experience), Gruden, Meyer. The fact is UT is not letting CJP go and no one high up the food chain really would even want to come and coach the Vols. All the airport posters with where UT-K jet is flying to and from can continue to lay at rest.

Disagree. All resources and insider info would be focused soley on tracking Freeze. From his plane rides to his grocery store list. We would get our confirmation through the color of the tie he wears on TV.

What’s up with your snarkiness? You used to bring reasonable takes.

This fan base does this every time.
I've got the UT-Coaching-Search Fever!!

SIAP but can anyone confirm if Fulmer agreed to a contract with Pruitt where JP would get the full buyout regardless if he gets another job? It’s being talked about in the FF. I know, I know, it’s not a safe space over there...

no mitigation clause in there, he gets the full buyout, regardless.

I skimmed his original contract last night, and the buyout is 60% of his full salary. But there is no mitigation clause which would offset our payment if he took another job.

That's a win in my book. If its not possible for us to hire him this year, its best he doesn't go anywhere, while Pruitt heads into a make or break season.
Absolutely. Could set up perfectly for UT to bring him in after next season. This should at least keep him at Liberty through 2021.
