So I’m sitting here with my 11 year old daughter watching the Liberty game (she’s paying more attention to her Ipod) and the announcers goes crazy over a 80 yard td pass. She says to me “I thought you said Liberty was a nobody school?”. I told her they are, they just have a good coach. She sid would he come to Tennessee? I told her that he said that would be his dream job but UT probably wouldn’t hire him. She looked puzzled for a few seconds and said why not, he’s better than what we have now.
It’s truly sad when an 11 year old girl can make a better decision on UT football than the UT administration can....
HIRE FREEZE!!!
And go Vols!!!!!
Problem is the toxicity surrounding the program. If we lose all but Vandy in embarrassing fashion as one would suspect, Volnation will have pitchforks in hand ready to fire him. And, God forbid we lose to Vandy (I take nothing for granted with this Pruitt lead team). If the season gets cancelled the talk of running him out of town will die down a bit.
So in 2015 Hugh was at Ole Piss, beat Alabama but lost to Memphis, Florida, and Arkansas. They went to sugar bowl and beat Gundy lead team in Ok State.
Would you take losses to Kentucky, Vandy, and Florida, if that means beating GA and Ala?
ugh. Good points.Too many huge red flags for me.
1. No real progress from year one till now.
2. No QB development
3. Inexplicable losses
4. Inability to execute simple tasks like stopping a slant
5. No offense
6. Weaknesses where we thought their would be strengths.
7. Staff turnover.
8. Staff underperforming compared to previous jobs.
Just so much that makes you think, “This is not just a matter of getting better players in place”. The system is broken and his stubbornness is what makes it irreparable
Watching this Vandy team against Kentucky. Vandy would beat us.
You’re right. We should accept mediocrity and blow out losses as the norm now. In fact, we should sign Pruitt to a ten year extension. Who cares about wins and losses. Let’s spend $500 on tickets, gas, and tailgating so we can all talk about the good ole days together at one stadium.
Agree Cat. Sadly I think our administration is too inept. Hugh Freeze would make too much sense.Vanderbilt will be playing Tennessee with a record of 0-7 assuming the game is played.
Won't happen, but IF we lose Pruitt should be fired on the spot. I think it could be argued the financial situation would be worse if you keep him around another year if we go 2-8.
