Agree on the situation created by the coaches, but not sure what else they could have done (with the exception of playing Fields over Fromm). Most can see it for what it is. #1 QB jumped ship, #2 QB hurt (may start next week), #3 started first game and poor kid looks scared to death, go with walk-on 4th string who will give you all he has, but obviously limited in what he offers. Not many programs can start their 4th string and still compete.

Just a crazy year for everyone, look at most of the programs that are doing well have experienced QB and OC coming back or QB being in system for years like Mac Jones. I was wrong about UT, figured ceiling was 7-3 or 8-2, but felt the floor was 5-5. I’m scratching my head.

I’m curious as to why they haven’t tested JT?..is he still dealing with the recovery?

Yes, they’ve had to go in twice after his surgery and it’s still had some swelling. Hopefully he can fully trust his knee while playing.

Sheesh!...do they think it was a botched surgery?...it’s crazy how those things happen being a major university because they use the best of the best!

No one said they flipped off their employer

The information that they were urged twice as part of a unified front for the athletic dept to do so and wound up being the only 8 who refused, says they essentially flipped off their employer.

You will have a lonely existence defending mercenaries who pull down >$500k per year.

I could understand Artis and Ocevet for it being their first real $$$. The rest, as a manager and leader of a large organization, I would consider the combination of their actions and performance a clear signal as to their commitment to the organization.

Hard for me to say, don’t think it wasn’t a clean tear. Think a lot of questions will be answered once/if he gets on the field to see how well he can now move. Mentally, you have to trust your body.

Do you think Kirby puts him in at all this year?..I’m curious to see what he looks like

I'll be honest to lose anyone other than HB in the qb room is not a problem. Haven't heard anything about a transfer but it happens, and as a coach you just have the next guy ready to play. Your 2nd question as it pertains to the locker room, absolutely not. The kids believe in 90% of what CJP says and follows his lead. CJP is an old school leader of men. He knows how to rally the troops. I was just down there to handle some business and the energy was very positive. The last question is definitely a head scratcher but I was very upset and had to ask this myself. They basically felt as a staff HB was not ready nor did the trust Strout. Then there was the multiple issues with Mauer from trust to injury bug. So they went with the head ache over the unknown. Just know I was told there are changes coming.
