I’m not thrilled but I’m also not gonna give in to the trope of we just utterly suck. I really appreciated JacketVol’s lengthy post from earlier(at least I think it was him). Yes, we’re disappointing this season but there are good reasons for that along with the coaching staff missteps and poor QB play, which we know all too well. There are things that I’ve seen that have given me enough hope that it’s still salvageable and Pruitt hasn’t lost me completely but he’s got a canyon to make up instead of a gap. BUT, if we cannot feasibly grab someone that literally would be a copy & paste fix, we need to let the man do his best. This year to me is a wash for nearly all the conference outside of Alabama. We all know that.I like you. I like your enthusiasm, but you can’t be pleased with the trajectory of this program.
I agree that people should be upset. Hell, I’m upset. Very upset. I’m only 31 and it’s been a MINUTE since I’ve seen us impose our will and scare other teams. It’s been quite painful but I refuse to throw in the towel. I’ve been diehard for way too long. In the meantime, the basketball team is a UNITYour optimism is a good thing and you should hold onto that. But it’s okay for people to be upset, as expected when we’re losing. Our team repeatedly sucks... over and over again
I just think Pruitt and Phil are too stubborn for their own good. We haven’t improved in one area form last year. In fact I’d say 99% of our players have regressed. Covid isn’t an excuse and Pruitt uses it left and right. No reason to not have 1 of 4 QBs ready to play even decent football. Every other team dealt with covid and plenty of them have improved. I just don’t have much faith in Pruitt anymore. His assistant turnover rate is insane. Insiders have said he’s hard to work with. Only thing he has really done is given us some young talent and IF he holds this current class together that will be a positive but he’s not shown he can do anything with the talent we do have. Next year we will still have no pass rush and our defense is not great under all these “elite” defensive minds. There isn’t much to be positive about regarding our football program. The only thing to cling to is hope that our young players actually play well and he keeps this class together.I’m not thrilled but I’m also not gonna give in to the trope of we just utterly suck. I think you're referring to my tennis elbow. Yes, I have resumed golfing twice a week with relatively minor pain in my forearm and biceps. It was just a matter of building my muscles back up again, which gets harder when you're over 70. Thanks for asking.
Now we are starting a new covid lockdown on Monday, including golf, in NM. More sitting around and getting soft.
Hope you're doing OK with whatever it is you're dealing with.
