I know we've discussed him ad nauseum for the OC position but looking at his resume he is just as qualified as Pruitt was when hired. Also known as a great recruiter. I know some are gonna feel it off the wall and a desperation hire but with offensive head coaches seeming to be the new trend in college and the pros I believe he could be an intriguing option.

Agreed. Long's resume mirrors that of a young offensive minded coach named Lincoln Riley. Although he walked into a ready made program at Oklahoma. Chip would face a much more difficult task.

Good comparison. Riley made his own waves at East Carolina before Stoops looked to move on from Huepel tho. Memphis to Notre Dame was a similar trek. We might be surprised how much better our talent is than currently indicated as currently coordinated.
