SEVERAL INDUSTRY SOURCES SAY TENNESSEE IS THE PREFERRED LANDING SPOT FOR FREEZE. TENNESSEE CERTAINLY COULD WAIT A YEAR, SEE WHETHER PRUITT IMPROVES THE PROGRAM IN 2021 AND THEN MAKE A RUN AT FREEZE. BUT A POOR FINISH, ESPECIALLY A LOSS THIS WEEK AGAINST WINLESS VANDERBILT, OR A SOUTH CAROLINA PUSH FOR FREEZE, COULD CHANGE THE THOUGHT PROCESS.

Looks like per Brady Hoke. Imo.

Good lord. I wish I could also be paid to make clueless comments about football, too.

"Zip" is over-rated. Accuracy is more important. It's like people falling in love with pitching prospects who can throw it 100+ mph but struggle with finding the strike zone.

For example, here's a throw that you'll never see JG make... (4:40 mark)

These guys are all towing the company line hoping we're all dumb enough to buy it. If enough of them say it, us dumb fans will believe it and they can keep their thumbs lodged up their rears for another year. If Bailey were as clear a choice as our lying eyes tell us why Pruitt would be committing coaching malpractice by continuing to play a QB with more TDs to the other team than his own. And that can't possibly be the case because any boosters worth their salt would be finding ways to get rid of a coach determined to tank their team. They'd want to replace him with someone who wants to be here and can beat guys like Saban and Mullen -- ya know the guys that coach our two main rivals? They wouldn't be telling us that a Vandy win is enough or telling us why anyone other than JG shouldn't be starting.

Another hot take btw, Ramel Keyton should not see the field anymore until he fixes whatever issue he is having that is causing him to drop passes. Kid couldn’t catch a cold.....
I think he'll figure it out. He led the state in receiving his SO year and was on pace to his JR year till Bailey got hurt. I think his confidence is probably low right now.

Man it looked so much more different to me. Lol maybe it’s just because Bailey spreads the ball around more.
I’m basing it on a route concepts POV. It’s nearly impossible to 100% know what a QB is seeing or what progressions he’s going to when and why.

For instance on the pick 6 by JG... idk why he’s even looking at Palmer. To me that play is a peak rpo and Brandon Johnson is the primary passing read. Johnson was open if he looks at him... or worst case scenario he can hold the safety on the left side by looking at BJ... but he chooses to automatically look across the field to Palmer the whole time. You can see that on tape but it doesn’t tell you why he did that.

Very true also, he stared at Palmer the whole time then threw the ball into Triple coverage..... not only did he throw it into triple coverage he threw the ball flat instead of to the back of the endzone it was terrible all the way around.

Sad we're going to screw this up again.

Pull the trigger Phil!

Question, people talk about the offense being different between the two, but could it just be JG rarely, if ever, looks past his first progression and HB actually reads the play?
see my previous post talking about a particular play.

But yea i mean it could be. I think jgs biggest problem his whole career has been that he won’t give up on progressions and likes to wait on them. That’s fine if you can scramble and extend plays but that’s not his strength he either gets himself killed or forces something that’s not there. If you don’t get the look you want immediately you have to move off it and do something else.

Bailey is probably being told or just naturally has a faster internal clock bc the game is so fast for him right now that right when he sees a deeper option even semi covered he automatically goes off instead of trying to anticipate something.

That's a made to order Hughmor right there.

"Not only is Tennessee is preferred spot, but he'd be willing to wait for the job to come open!"

IMO Baileys style opens up those deep throws later. A QB who can continuously throw to open receivers causes DBs to cheat and then get burnt.

Agreed. You’d think he’d have chemistry with HB but it wasn’t apparent in the Auburn game, and he’s not impressed as a receiver since he’s been here.

It’s early but he might be in danger of getting jumped by the freshman if they get on the field.

He will definitely have to do something if he wants to keep his job next year

I don't believe any of these stories.

I wanted to check this but in a temper tantrum deleted the game.

Looked like HB threw a bullet to Holiday over the middle that Holiday didn’t catch. Looked like he just didn’t see the ball - which I attributed to maybe being new to the position.

Anyone see that or did my eyes play tricks on me and that wasn’t a catchable ball?
