Very true also, he stared at Palmer the whole time then threw the ball into Triple coverage..... not only did he throw it into triple coverage he threw the ball flat instead of to the back of the endzone it was terrible all the way around.

Yea if you go back and watch that play.... they call it peak bc while JG is playing the play action game, all he has to do is look up and a take a peak at Johnson’s matchup and he would see the corner is on his heels 8 yards off for a wide open slant. Smoak was over top of that corner too. So just looking at Johnson you either have an easy slant completion (should be) or worst case scenario it holds smoak over on that side of the field.

Thing is JG pre-plans every target he throws to. For whatever reason when the play is called he sees the dark orange route on Madden and that's who he's going to. That's why he stares down his targets, that's why he holds the ball too long. He's predetermined where he's going and waits until -that- target is free/open enough to make the throw.

Bailey in his 10 pass attempts didn't do that at all, not once. He read the defense, looked off defenders and even made multiple progressions when he had time to find the best target for whatever play was called.

He also pointed out the Blitzer to the O line several times

IMO Baileys style opens up those deep throws later. A QB who can continuously throw to open receivers causes DBs to cheat and then get burnt.
Yea i mean part of it is just ignorant innocents too with a young QB. They aren’t trying to read too much into the actual coverage as opposed to just taking whoever is open.

I like the way he moves within the pocket more than anything.

Yeah I stated that in the FF. That 3 seconds he stayed alive in about a 12 inch by 12 inch Box was impressive.

Also, the lick he took but stayed in there anyways to throw and make a completion was impressive especially for a true freshman

I wanted to check this but in a temper tantrum deleted the game.

Looked like HB threw a bullet to Holiday over the middle that Holiday didn’t catch. Looked like he just didn’t see the ball - which I attributed to maybe being new to the position.

Anyone see that or did my eyes play tricks on me and that wasn’t a catchable ball?
Yes, but it was Calloway

there simply is zero evidence of this.

The played hard as a team until JG got hurt at Arkansas and played extremely hard at auburn

there are plenty of real reasons to want to HB to start so many that we really don’t need to make up false claims like this.
Well he quit on them. The way he stopped chasing on the interception was pathetic. That alone should have earned him a permanent spot on the bench

Agreed, too many people think "mobile" means running 4.7s or faster and taking off when the first read is covered. Bailey has obviously been groomed well, he steps up to avoid outside rushing pressure and slides to the side when Kennedy misses his block (like he does so well) to give the guard time to adjust to that breakdown. I wish I had the all-22 to showcase how well he moved in the pocket for the snaps he got to play.

Weinke will coach that out of him

I’m ready for Kennedy to be gone anyone else at Center is an upgrade and I’m rooting for Cooper Mays, that kid can block.

Believe me, I'm out on Weinke. But I'm also pretty positive this is one of those JG things that for whatever reason can't be coached out of him.

I say this because even though Maurer/JT both are pretty bad both of them seem capable of doing this stuff. JT just thinks his arm is something special and will force into tight coverage regardless. Maurer I just don't think has really gotten great fundamentals & being hurt so often I question how much time he's gotten here.

What Maurer would benefit from is a full off-season (summer too) under a specialist QB trainer. Just 1 on 1 time for 6-8 months a few days a week working on the fundamentals of footwork and throwing.

People need to understand that any criticism of Bailey is not in comparison to JG. Bailey clearly has better tools.

I think Priest is trying to put the brakes on the idea that Bailey is ready to take this offense to a different level.
How about prevent SINKING to new levels? Then baby steps.

I don't know about that. One of the guys I play golf with contacted Covid last week and had to be admitted to the hospital today. It's not looking good. You guys can joke about this sh^t all you want but you may change your tune when it gets close to home. The vaccine can't get here fast enough for me.

It affects people differently. Period. I’ve had it and a cold was worse.

Didn’t have a fever, didn’t feel bad, only reason I knew I had it was because all of a sudden a couldn’t smell anything.

I was Covid free within about 8 days after testing positive.

I’m not down playing it btw, people should take precautions but for the majority of people this thing is nothing. That is a fact.

Ran Peak with a 9th Grader at QB. Easy Read and throw. Ball should be out and caught before the Rec. gets to the level of the Umpire in the picture. As usual, he holds it too long and throws late.

Average age of death is 75.

I just want JG to be gone I think we all be amazed at how much better the team is without him regardless of the coaching staff
Pruitt had a built in excuse of benching JG and knowing Bailey didn't have enough experience to be good yet. He could have said we were building for the future with the QB. Him insisting on playing JG is the #1 reason everyone is over him.
