they're both gonna be NFL head coaches in the not too distant future. they're not coming to coach in CFB.

I’m hoping the rest of the season gets cancelled. It’s going to be another Bama championship it seems like and if it’s all the same would rather not see Butch walk around with a title ring like he had anything to do with it. I’m at the point where I’m used to Bama being who they are, but if there is any justice in this world he won’t get a ring on our dime. Let them win it next year, but not this year.

OSU, Clemson...anybody else. I don’t want the used car salesman to have any rings. I just don’t.

My only agenda is to annoy Bass but other than that everything I post is my legit opinions with some legit info sprinkled in.

I'm not trying to troll anyone (other than Bass because we are sworn enemies)

i didn't say you were wrong on that front.

but to them, the risk outweighs the potential reward...by a lot i'd imagine. see i think we're kinda hamstrung on this simply because of how we did the Schiano deal.

to say it'd be a challenge to overcome the hypocrite outcry would be an uderstatement. could it be? sure. but that dude, hugh freeze, would need to win a lot, quickly....and keep his nose squeaky clean.

and as we've learned with guys like Bruce Pearl, it's hard for leopards to change their spots.

we can all be for Hugh Freeze. hell i'm for Hugh Freeze.....

I don’t think they realized what it took to keep a program at the top cause Phil always kinda controlled a lot of it. When Phil was let go they were left with their thumbs in theirs butts. Then when you make one hire and he bolts after a year, you panic and scramble to save face and money instead of going out and spending the money the first time to get who you want and who can lead us to Championships.

Then it just spiraled out of control and then we became the laughing stock of CFB and a example of what NOT TO DO.

I think it’s gonna take them throwing 50-70 million at a coach kinda like A&M. But then the “Control” issue also remains cause in places like Fl, A&M, OSU, Bama, the coach has A LOT of control, here that’s not the case. It’s a toxic dynamic when you can’t do what you want with Salaries and coaches.
And believe me, coaches talk, and they know how it is here and from what I’ve heard most won’t come cause they are micromanaged to an extent.

So that HAS TO CHANGE, or we are gonna be 4-8 year end year out with a 8-5 ceiling. And that’s the cold hard TRUTH.

All of y’all know what is going on. It’s been said here numerous times.

Anyways, maybe things will change but for now it’s pretty much the same way it’s been for a decade. Phil is making headway but he still has PLENTY of obstacles.
