Comparing the GS and Freeze allegations is a huge stretch, to say the least. Freeze’s past is sports radio fodder and nothing more. Until he is named in a deposition...even by a third party...where there is real, proven wrongdoing then this is just coffee filled crap to generate clicks.

I can see the narrative forming. I’m also saying that narrative and comparison is stupid. It’s stupidity with wings, actually.

Again, Freeze is a grade A POS. He's dirty but that's the route Tennessee is going to have to go to be relevant again.

If these stories about Freeze had any truth to them they would have been dug up by the local media here in Virginia by now. They hate Liberty University and would love nothing more than to drag them through the mud with something like this.

Some think we should. I have been back and forth on it. I want to have a great program again. Nobody that we can get, including Freeze, is a slam dunk to turn it around.

That’s actually exactly how it works. Nothing is proven. He comes in and wins and nobody even remembers it in 2 years.

GS comes in and wins and there is still the very real PSU scandal that he was marginally a part of that no one ever forgets.

since when does it matter? all you need is perception on your side. hell, the truth doesn't even matter.....it didn't in the Schiano deal.

3 years later there's still people saying he witnessed something...and all we ever really know to be true is somoene said he witnessed something. it has never been verified that GS actually did/didn't do anything wrong. just like it's not verified that HF did or didn't do anything wrong in that briarcrest deal.

but the hint of it...was enough for GS to go packing....but not HF....deposition or not, it will not matter if we hired HF.

but keep telling yourself "this is ok, it's not the same thing, they won't draw any comparisons".....

i already covered this in another post.....y'all are blinding yoursleves if you don't think there's an inevitable blow back in hiring HF and rioting against GS.

and you're correct....if we were to hire HF, he'd need to win immediatley and never ever have his name mentioned in another scandelous manner....

but you'd have get thru that blowback first. and not only would it be hard to deal with in the media, it could get relatively dicey on the recruiting trail too.....

siap, there's a lot of reasons not to make a change this year. even more reasons not to hire HF.

and i'm not sayiung any of these should or shouldn't trump either decision. but you better be ready to deal with what comes from making them....and HF brings baggage...a lot of which is actually verified....and proven. lol.
