A handful of our assistants will move on to greener pastures to protect themselves, we’ll replace them with subpar hires, and we’ll win 4-6 games next season.

And Pruitt will get a hero's welcome back in Tuscaloosa. He has no skin in this game. I wish he would just resign.

I trust him slightly more than people that were in charge. I think we can do better with him than our disaster of a coaching search last time, Currie going rogue, Schiano Sunday, cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria. It was awful but more entertaining than this sh!tshow of a football season.

I'm hard pressed to see Pruitt in year 4 suddenly not getting thumped in the SEC anymore. Think about it, he either wins SEC games or they get beat by double digits. He might win 6 or 8 next year but that would only be if it's a 12 game schedule with some non-conference wins. He is what he is. Upset Florida or A&M and beat Vandy and maybe then we can revisit this. Apart from that stop delaying the inevitable.

Pruitt will be retained and people will talk themselves into believing we will be good next year and we will repeat this entire cycle again.

I really thought we'd be good this year. The O-line picked up Cade, JG had another year in Chaney's system, and the schedule wasn't too bad, considering it was all SEC teams. I thought the D-line and the recievers would struggle early but we'd be competitive in every game. I was wrong, I didn't think JG would be worse this year than he was last year. I really believe it is one player and JP refusing to sub him holding the team back. I think the other players are as sick of it as I am and have been since the Georgia game.

I saw this in the FF and think it describes this season perfectly.

This means Billy Napier, Jamey Chadwell, etc.....this program doesn’t need someone who has to learn how to be a big time HC as they go.

And before this turns into an affirmative action discussion and we start arguing about political ****, I’m not saying you hire anyone because of the color of their skin.

I’m just saying, in our specific instance, it would be a good story.

Nope, no, not at all. Has everything to do with he'd be a coach with no HC experience and this isn't the time to be learning on the job. Absolutely nobody has a problem with a black VFL.

Don't label or portray this as something that it is not, it is extremely disingenuous to do so.

Why? Those coaches have proven to be better head coaches than Pruitt. I would rather go 7-5 with one of them than 5-7 with Pruitt next year.
