I bought a 3" springfield XD 9, I love it.
joy, a gun discussion.

have my Grandfather's single shot .410 shotgun. My uncle had the turn of century muzzleloader & side-by-side folding stock
12 gauge from 20's. Of course meth heads stole the latter, unfortunately we didnt find out till Uncle passed.

Anyway, the gun is 60's mass produced single shot. Squirrels beware, unless I miss and reload.

Not a gun person by any means. Do realize however the importance of them, esp for subsistence. Love idea of passing things down also.

Dad's gonna give me his 16 gauge, for the boy and I to do some duck hunting.

Edit: Ive also looked at several side arms, mostly Glock arms as the armory id do business with sells them. I welcome any input. Gun would be used on trail, as bear deterrent mostly. Think .9 is best choice personally.

Vandy getting delayed is Bad for Pruitt. He needed a win before signing day and if Vandy is not put between UF and and A&M he won’t. He could be facing 2-7 and having been blown out even more. Can’t imagine locker room too fired up on 7 game losing streak
Agreed. Seven straight double digit losses is unacceptable. I don’t care how much it costs or who the replacement is. Those things are irrelevant to the main decision.

The only way and i mean the only way i would be ok with Pruitt staying next year is if he curbed Chaney and somehow brought in Moorehead. Solely Bc i would be ok with joe being our next coach in the event the defense still underperformed and we had another bad year next year.

Lmao. Chaney isn't the problem with our offense. There's a lot of factors but Chaney is the least of our worries.

i will say this, not to totally discount what it could mean to the ESP, the thing that did crawl in to my brain was that if Vandy is now the last game, on 12/19, and we do lose the next two to FL and aTm, it's gonna be hard to judge what the motivation level is headed in to a vandy game that really won't matter...wonder how many kids might opt out at that point....

i guess my overwhelmingly largest concern over that is that it presents the most likely scenario where it becomes painfully obvious the staff could lose the team.

and i don't care what we think about Pruitt right now....i don't want to see that happen....

i don't disagree. but i don't think Chaney has come close to earning that 1.6M paycheck as OC either. at that kind of money....you're supposed to be the solution to whatever problem comes up.

he just assimiliated to the suck.

The fact that this administration would wait for the players to check out completely before making the decision that needs to be made is one of the largest issues. But that's what I fully expect to happen.

Unfortunately on the current configuration of the Coaching Staff the strong coaches are a shorter list. Tee and Graham are solid at their positions. Neids is an asset but is in the wrong spot. Weinke is the weak link. Felton is out of his league. Ansley may be a good DB coach without the pressure of being DC as well. Friend is average. Not sure about Chaney without knowing whether Pruitt is handcuffing him or if modern Offense has passed him by (or both). Pruitt has a lot of shortcomings. Hiring staff is a big one. Public Relations and a grasp of proper English is another.

Pruitt is just a country boy that works as hard as anyone. When he was not the face of a program, that worked for him because no one took notice. It's a whole different ballgame now and it appears he has too much on his plate. The most disturbing part of all this is the constant change in assistants every year. That's gotta be addressed or we're never gonna to be able to move forward.

Butch had same issues. Cause we hire up and comers and not proven winners.

he could be trying. i think our talent is better but, esp on offense. I think its pretty bad. likely gets undercut a lot.

or hes checked out.

I just can't imagine getting to that game, sitting at 2-7, and thinking "man, it's going to feel so good to beat Vandy. Let's get to 2021!"

Nope - something is going to have to change.

Also, once you’re having these sorts of conversations, you know it’s time to make a move.

i don't disagree. just hate that it's gonna get to that point, potentially....really do.

i don't know they will or won't wait til that point.

honestly, if we go thru another bye week, and get run out of Neyland twice before heading to Nashville, i won't be surprised if Pruitt is home for the holidays.

i just really don't want to see this happen......again.

i don't know how many more "let's just push the reset button" chances we get before we really bottom out (and i say that because every time i think we have, i get proven wrong).

ugh. i am not thankful for this season of football. that's OFF the list this year. lol.

it’s already there in my opinion. Don’t see us being competitive with Texas am or Florida.
me neither, but i've been to that point for a few weeks now on those two games....so that fact isn't really swaying my thought process, except the timing for both games now compared to a couple weeks ago.

And to your main point, I don't think it really matters whether or not this team has checked out.

It's bad regardless and can lose to Vandy whether or not we're happy to be there or pissed to be there with 10 guys opting out.

To the larger point of the season, it would be a legitimate argument in Pruitt's favor if there were double-digit opt-outs - or a few star players opted out. Penn State is a perfect example. But that didn't happen. This team just sucks and there's one person to blame.
