And to your main point, I don't think it really matters whether or not this team has checked out.

It's bad regardless and can lose to Vandy whether or not we're happy to be there or pissed to be there with 10 guys opting out.

To the larger point of the season, it would be a legitimate argument in Pruitt's favor if there were double-digit opt-outs - or a few star players opted out. Penn State is a perfect example. But that didn't happen. This team just sucks and there's one person to blame.
true.

the only legitimage argument i'll continue to put out there as a reason, not an excuse, is the timing of how this off season for this roster with the core of the best talent all being fr/so....to miss this off season, specifically, was detrimental developmentally. that and the schedule change. i really liked how our schedule originally laid out for 2020.....switching to an all SEC schedule wasn't necessarily going to be a good thing for us.

it has gotten past the point, however, that it should/would equate to a complete and utter meltdown of a season.....there's plenty of things that have happened since the season started anyone could point to as contributing factors...things that you basically have to point to and say given the extraordinary circumstances you're placed in, why would you continue to do the same things you always do as if everything was normal??? if there was ever a time for out of the box thinking it was this season.

there's some obvious things there, certainly....lol.

Also,

Serious question for @de1conley , @HankHill , @Atlanta VOL Or whoever else knows what’s going on...

When JG was in against Auburn who was calling the plays?

When HB was in against Auburn who was calling the plays?

Because whoever was calling for JG had a limited playbook. The playbook opened up significantly for Bailey. It was like they weren’t limited anymore.

I would seriously like to know. Thanks.

Chaney was calling plays in both instances. This is my problem if limited with JG wth keep playing him. Why not just start Bailey that game and allow what we saw in limited action to develop over a full 4 qtrs. Like at some point everyone on the offensive staff if accountable for the decision to continue to play Scubantano. I honestly think most every coach will be safe and SC is gonna be up tihs creek w/o a paddle because I honestly have heard Freze won't take their job whether due to SEC not approving or by his choice. This is a lost season due to covid protocols and injuries. So with the loss of profit its hard to fire a coach, but my Gawd there has to be major improvement on the offensive side of the ball and it starts with OL and Qb coaching.

i don't know they will or won't wait til that point.

honestly, if we go thru another bye week, and get run out of Neyland twice before heading to Nashville, i won't be surprised if Pruitt is home for the holidays.

i just really don't want to see this happen......again.

i don't know how many more "let's just push the reset button" chances we get before we really bottom out (and i say that because every time i think we have, i get proven wrong).

ugh. i am not thankful for this season of football. that's OFF the list this year. lol.
The program is headed off the rails. We had staff turnover because, insert reason here, and we've experienced regression. I have zero faith in this administration. I seriously doubt they do anything until next year unless the players give up and recruits walk. The fact it would come to that is what bothers me most. They obviously don't care and I'm really close to feeling the same.

They’re absolutely wishing they would have kept him.
I don’t believe that at all. They are getting a lot better and their defense is looking very good. Switching into an air raid like he runs is a completely different rebuild. Almost like Georgia tech and Collins switching from the option. He went 0-12 his first year at Wazzou pretty sure.

Bailey = Casey. Play. His. Ass.

Moorhead as a HC? Really?

On-field performance wasn’t the only factor here. There were disciplinary problems within the team that boiled over publicly into a fight during one bowl practice, for instance.

The Bulldogs finished a disappointing 8-5 that year with a talented squad that Mullen left, including senior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald and three eventual NFL draft first-round picks on its defense.

More off-the-field issues crept up in December. A group of players missed bowl practice, and Shrader was involved in a fight during one practice. He sustained serious enough injuries that he was unable to start the bowl game, giving way to Stevens.

Mississippi State Fires Head Coach Joe Moorhead

It wasn’t a fit from the beginning. He was miserable the team was bitter Bc of Mullen. If y’all like the idea of osovet, Moorhead’s scheme is like his on steroids. Look at James Franklin since he’s left.

Have heard from some folks down there that they’re already tired of Leach’s antics.

But anyway, the only reason they fired Moorhead is because they thought they had Joe Judge in the bag. Once the Giants hired him (lol) MSU panicked.

I think he makes a great OC, not HC. No way in hell I’d let him run a big program. It was a sh*t show the first time and that was at friggin Miss St

They may be but they almost won at Georgia with a high school type roster.

Moorehead isn’t west coast dude. He’s from Pittsburgh and spent majority of career north/northeast. I know he didn’t work last year at Mississippi state but i think that just never had a chance.
That’s a ringing endorsement!

Pages and Pages of "what if" scenarios.... Guys, this is UT. If you haven't been paying attention the last 15yrs, we are just gonna continue to be crap until there's major ADMIN and Booster changes. We have a coach going thru the motions who doesn't want to be here (or at least is coaching that way with his decisions and lack of fire from him or his team) in year THREE. We are getting WORSE. Our OC is past his prime. If he wasn't, then he would have adapted and made adjustments to his offense to make the most of our talent, or lack thereof... Our Heisman Trophy winning QB who's now the QB coach couldn't develop a kid in pee-wee football. We have no dedicated D line coach and funny enough we are getting zero push and pressure on opposing QB's. The team is clearly not playing for themselves or their coach anymore. We will once again wait one year too long to change it up again, pushing our program even deeper into the ditch we are already in. Rinse, repeat.

Happy Thanksgiving.

How do you “change” boosters? 🤨

Scubantano needs to be benched!
