But TN has everything Florida does except for the in state talent, and TN's in state talent is increasing, just look at that '22 class, that if we aren't careful we are going to squander. But we are not in bad shape. We have a lot of young talent on this football team including a 5 star freshman QB. This team with competent coaching could be competing for the east.

IF they stay, I agree that we have some talent on this team.

Success to me is having a 8-4 floor. I think freeze in 2 years would have no problem winning 4 OOC, candy, UK, Missouri, and SCjr on a basically constant basis.

8-4 would be our worst year under Freeze. We would win 9-10 every single year, and when everything came together, we would have a chance to win it all. That's all I want. Take away embarrassment and give me the hope that this year could be the year, and it actually be true and not just hope like the last 15 years, and I'm happy. Freeze brings that. We wouldn't be worried about losing to a crappy Vandy team or get blown out by KY and Arkansas or about not being competitive against our rivals. That would be gone.

100%. This team is talented enough to have beaten GA and won every game we've played except for Bama. Instead we're sitting here looking at going 0-7 and possibly 0-8 to end the year.

Except it isn't. Everyone you're talking about either isn't coming here or is, at best, another "gee I hope it pans out" hire. Freeze is proven. He's had success in this league at one of the worst programs in this league.

I’d assume that would be a weakness but I think the floor has been set in the middle teens range in recruiting. Give me a coach that can run a program first and recruit second

Sure, I won't hesitate to say I think he's a good coach and would initially do well.

But it would implode quickly - and I don't believe he's a good enough coach to consistently win at the top of this conference, especially facing Saban, Mullen and Smart each year.

People point to those two wins vs. Alabama, and I won't take them away or discredit them, but in 2015 when he beat Alabama, he lost to Memphis and Arkansas.

In 2014 when they beat Alabama, they finished third in the West behind Bama and Mullen and Mississippi State.

He's a good coach, but he's a hollow winner and a certified bad person - and a risk to get your program in serious trouble. He ain't worth the risk.

There is literally no coach on Saban’s level within this conference. Hasn’t been for years. There are only a couple in all of college football that can field a team to compete with him on annual basis.

We can find a coach to beat Mullen and Kirby. But it’s gonna have to be an O guy. Mullen will always score points and Kirby will always have the best athletes but not know what in the hell to do w them. Freeze could prob compete with those guys pretty quickly.

But nobody is gonna come in and just compete with Saban year in and year out. Nobody has done it except Les and he did it when Bama was all about defense. And I guess Gustopher down at AUB has pulled a few upsets.

I’m so tired of hearing this. Our roster is fine. We have everything that we need to be successful except a competent head coach. So let’s either go and get one or hope that Pruitt figures it out. But there is nothing at Tn keeping the football team from being successful on the field

I mostly agree though think it isn't unreasonable to trip up now and again against one of Candy, UK, Mizzou, and SCjr to go 7-5.

Yes, you will lose every now and then to those teams. But then you should also beat a big dog too. So it should all even out to around 8 wins consistently. It isn’t hard to win here. We have had terrible head coaches. Shoot Butch won 9 games twice. Anyone wanting to keep Pruitt is insanity to me. You can’t completely fall on your face in year three and continue to mismanage your roster so bad. JG should have been done last year. We should have brought in two transfer QBs and prepared Bailey to be the starter day one. It is coaching malpractice to continue to play 2 when you are getting blown out every week. It is deserving of being fired.

Chadwell, Napier, or Freeze would all come here and they all could win consistently.

Big reason I think we should fire Pruitt now. If he struggles again next year, we could miss out on Simpson and many other top kids. This would be almost as bad as losing out on Etienne and Lawrence. We can’t let the 22 class get away. We need new excitement and watch the 22 class become great for us.
