Yes, they vet every hire. The red flags were there. He was hired with the expectation that Fulmer would help and "transition" him.

sounds like the counseling sessions trying to save my marriage. The red flags were there. It didn’t work out either.

Chadwell has a NCAA past too...

In 2018, the NCAA released a detailed report concerning numerous NCAA violations that occurred during Chadwell’s tenure as the CSU head football coach. The violations ranged from using multiple ineligible players to players using scholarship funds to purchase electronics and jewelry from the campus book store. Ultimately, the NCAA sanctions vacated 18 wins from the 2014 and 2015 seasons and the 2015 Big South Championship. Also vacated were three wins over crosstown rival The Citadel, games during which CSU used ineligible players.[1]
We should hire Freeze.

TB saying two names to watch are O’Brien and Marrone
Lord I hope not!! We need a proven college P5 coach who has a reputation of development and hiring good to great recruiters. And also needs to be a great recruiter himself with a eye for talent!! If we can't get the top 2 of Freeze or Kiffin, Campbell would be my pick. If my opinion mattered!

Might as well just hire Freeze

Did anyone just see Kiffin telling one of his players to "go down" and fake an injury, just to give his defense more time to rest. It's on tape. I would love to see the Commissioner fine his sorry a$$. He's such a punk. I know every team fakes injuries but I've never seen a head coach tell his player to do it.

Did you not see the magical arrows to the knee that we took this year? Arkansas had a sniper in the stands.

If you watched them laugh at our school on game day, and then spend an entire game talking about TAMU and their playoff chances, and then defend Pruitt and say he should get another year like we are a scrub program that should be lucky to have him (even as it seems we are staring down the barrel of a 3-7 season and an NCAA investigation)...

Naw, dude. I’m pissed. I’m proud to have grown up in East TN. I’m proud of my school. I don’t really enjoy being laughed at. And if you had a shred of pride, you’d be madder than f@&), too.
I'm not happy about it but I have watched this sh!t show foe too many years now and I refuse to allow the dysfunction of UT football to ruin my mood and/or day. As far as the TV clowns that think he deserves another, I choose to laugh at their stupidity and lack of vision instead of becoming hateful over it..

I was in no way trying to tell you how to feel about it and believe it or not we're in the same boat and I believe we're rowing in the same direction. If I disrespected you in any way, I apologize.

Peace brother and Merry Christmas.

Did Fulmer think he could change him? Im confused why him being an ass wasn't a red flag in the hiring process?

In a little fairness to Fulmer, the prior administration had ruined our chances with a lot of quality candidates. Plus, right or wrong, the outrage over Schiano didn't do the university any favors. Pruitt was a long shot, but basically one of the better options given the situation.

The win streak at the end of last year, in retrospect, hurt us. Pruitt was given the extension that is making it hard to make the needed change. I don't fault Fulmer for the hire; but I do for the extension. The track record had not been established just because of a winning streak.

It's tough man. I understand the predicament we're facing with considering Freeze. But at the same time the hope it would deliver this fanbase, these players and this whole program is unparalleled by all the other choices.

Who cares if someone has a past with sanctions? You got one side that says they have learned and everyone deserves second chances. The other, it’s the only way to keep up with the FL, GA, and Ala of the ncaa. Everyone knows they do it and look where it gets them. Playoffs. Go win! Who cares if you are cheating. Make your machine too big for them to take you down.
