I bet the thinking was if he wins, folks will tolerate a lot. But that’s a high-risk strategy because as soon as losses start piling up it creates a divisive environment.

Im sure Fulmer (et. al) presumed he was the best option available even in spite of that major character flaw. In hindsight, it definitely seems like the wrong move.

I think maybe it’s easy to come across during an interview as some thing other than what you truly are. Surely he wasn’t a dick during the interview process.

Honestly promoting Brian,hiring Shelton and promoting coach O is where the problem started...we already had one player state that he was showing Coach O different techniques at the TE position.
