It’s really simple.
If you plan to play for the win anyway and you go for 2 the first TD

That way if you don’t make it you at least have a fall back option to get it into to OT. If you do make it you win the game on the next TD

It’s not intuitive because it hasn’t been the norm, but mathematically speaking it is the right call. Of course it looks better when you make the first 2pt conversion.

When ESPN is confirming the story you can pretty much guarantee it isn't baseless message board rumors at that point.

The decision makers in Knoxville needed to watch tonight. Tape their eyelids open so they couldn’t miss a snap. You don’t win in college football with defense anymore. You have to go and find someone who can put a lot of points on the board. Period.

Disagree, you have to play defense. If florida doesn't play solid D and get a few stops this is not a game. If bama doesn't play solid D they don't win at the end.
