Looks like Harsin may be interested in moving on from Boise State after seven seasons. His tenure there has featured winning 78% of games played, 3 conference titles and winning 3 of 5 bowls, including the 2014 Fiesta Bowl.

Apparently he expressed interest in the UT job in 2017. Could be an intriguing option - someone from the Petersen coaching tree.

I think what we have learned from our insiders is this thing is a sh** show behind the scenes. One thing remains clear from them. Peyton is heavily involved. Haslams have pitched their hat in the ring. And none of the insiders think JP survives this.

Dammit, I volunteer to be the new NCAA President. I will make sure to get to the bottom of this cheating scandal and punish the appropriate people, not the UT program which is innocent. It was the dumbass coaches who got sloppy. I will also hammer UGA, Florida, Bama, and the Barn, just because I can.

Has ties to Fulmer as well.

I keep hearing napier alot. @butchna @UTK what are your thoughts on napier? I don't know much about him.
I have him in my realistic top 3...2nd to be exact. Much more proven than is implied. Checks the boxes in recruiting and coordinator experience. THIS is when you land these types. By the time they become Lincoln Riley or Ryan Day, they cease to be REALISTIC.

Why it just means you won't carry 42 receivers and 9 halfbacks. Its not that big of a deal.
Reduction of scholarships effects the 85. We don't have 42 WRs and 9 RBs, well, given the last 2 years we might have close to 9 RBs, but we sure as hell don't have 42 WRs. It's beside the point. No scholarship reductions! Dammit!

From Bob on TOS

Ok this is what I’m hearing...
I don’t expect a decision publicly until after Christmas. I do believe he is done. Tennessee will try and fire him with cause but could reach a settlement if Pruitt is willing to move on. Tennessee will probably self impose a reduction on scholarships and a bowl ban. Pruitt has ticked off some university folks as well. Plowman and Manning have had a lot of dialogue along with others. Haslam has had contact with Manning and Plowman the last month but it really picked up the last 10 days and the last 48 hours. This is deeper than on field coaching. There are a lot of upset people. I have heard Fulmer is no longer fighting this whatsoever. I don’t have any clue what his fate is at this time. The focus is Pruitt right now. A lot of details to work through before Pruitt is let go. It could happen tomorrow or it could happen after Christmas. If it happens sooner then it’s because he wanted it to. Things can change in a hurry. I don’t know how soon Pruitt will return from Alabama. I know people will have a million questions but this is all I know and this is basically the opinion of someone I trust. A lot of moving parts here. It’s important you all understand that. Candidates haven’t really even been discussed in detail at this point.

Can Bob join us over here? Because he actually talks. Our insiders just drop 👀 or random gifs and you need a decoder ring to figure it out. I love our guys but dang it, just tell us. Lol.

Boise is his alma mater i think. He must feel he needs to leave in order to be more successful if this is true.

You're never going to have 100% roster buy in. With the reduction you pull the scholarship of JJ Peterson, Jordan Allen, Kenny Solomon, Solon Page,Kingston Harris types. Not that big of a deal.

I think there’s been at least 1 20ish point loss in each CFP first round since the inception, or close to it at least. Someone can check that. If that’s the case, why not let a Cincinnati in? They’re going to lose to Bama or Clemson or whatever power anyways, let those kids have that experience and the storylines are better and would attract more neutral eyes. I don’t get the committee’s choices.

Reduction of scholarships doesn't mean you pull scholarships. It means you have less scholarships to give going forward for x number of years.

I wish we could lure Urban into taking the job... I know there is probably 0% chance of that happening but it’s literally the only sure fire thing of getting back to relevancy imo

I don't like this reduction of scholarship angles. Who gives a damn about a bowl game this year, but reduced scholarships?? Hell no to that. Throw the coaches under the bus and let them take the fall for sloppy cheating. Don't take away scholarships from the program.

Its the perfect year to do the reduction of scholarships. Considering this year doesn't count, we will have upwards of 100 scholarship players next year. Take 5 away. Actually the best year it could happen.
