I don’t want a public search as I don’t want to see everyone thinking every random poster and Twitter account is an insider. I hope if we fire him we have everything lined up and done smoothly.

I also hope they make it as clean as possible and it not be dirty. You don’t want that stigma with potential candidates.

My list of realistic guys I would want to pick from would be Freeze, Tom Allen, Gus, Fickel, Neal Brown, Napier, Sarkisian.

If his brother was not at KY, I would put Bob Stoops in this list as I think he has the itch again but not at the expense of his brother.

My top 2 of my list would be Freeze and Sark. Freeze number 1 as this is his dream job and you can tell he is dying for another chance at this league again. Sark has had HC experience and success and explosive offense. He would lock up Ty Simpson and that in state class would follow suit. Like Kiffin his offense is even better this time around than it was before.

Next tier would be Allen and Gus. Allen was with freeze at Ole Miss and it’s obvious from his Indiana success that he was a big part of that Ole Miss run. He is really deep in south Florida recruiting area which is why he has Indiana where they are. Gus just because you know what you will get and while I don’t like his Qb development he would inherit the type of QB he knows what to do with and a group of RBs he would do damage with his scheme.

If folks would think about it Gus is the fiotball version of Barnes. He would be the best hire by far.

I totally agree I’m not wanting a public search.

Please fire and hire within days of each other so we don’t have a mess of a search and public declines, etc.

Controversy is baked into the cake of college football. No system will make any sense because this is a regional sport, not national. Just 23 years ago, Alabama is already been claimed champ. And that’s probably not wrong. Cincy, UCF, Coastal Carolina, etc....

Though he's not my top choice, Freeze makes more sense than some of the other names mentioned. The problem is, we're looking to mitigate Pruitt's buyout because of sloppy cheating, and Freeze got fired from OM for, among other things, sloppy cheating. Is the admin gonna replace one sloppy cheater with another sloppy cheater? We need someone that can cheat without getting caught.
