I agree. I’ll take freeze over Gus. And Auburn is obviously inferior to OM. This was just for the people that think Gus is horrible and Freeze is head and shoulders betterOne was at Auburn and one was at Ole Miss. Quite a difference. Freeze would of accomplished just as much as Auburn and imo more than Gus if roles were reversed. I think both are solid hires though, so I will agree with you on that people that think Gus is "horrible" are a bit crazy. I don't think many really think that and just think Freeze is a better hire, which he is.
If Pruitt was coming back it would have been announced after the game. Fulmer would have given a vote of confidence by now. Pruitt is done. Let’s pray we poney up this time and hire a proven winner. Don’t let Campbell, Meyer, Freeze, whoever, say no.When Fulmer comes out and says Pruitt is back next year, then everyone can panic. Unless they have their guy and they are ready to put ink to paper, there is no difference between firing Pruitt now or later in the week.
Fellow Vol Brethren,
Don’t get consumed by all of this. Check it periodically, then go on about your business. Don’t believe anything as gospel truth. Be discerning and draw your own conclusions. Don’t let the timing of comments by others dominate your life during this season. No idols, people nor universities. Despite what you think, God is in control of everything, including UT Football. Whether Pruitt is fired or retained, whether they do it now or tomorrow or next year, whether they go 14-0 or 0-14, it is all happening according to the perfect will of God. Trust in God, not in posters or boosters or UT Football. He will work it all out in His timing, so if you can’t find peace in anything else, find peace in the omnipresence and omnipotence of God now and always.
Those are average to below average SEC numbers. The year he rushed for 190 a game it put him at #7 in the SEC and he was #9 in YPCHis worst year at Ole Miss he rushed for an average of 149 yards a game. His best year, they rushed for 190 a game. Both of those years they still average 400+ yards a game and 30+ points a game.
This year at Liberty his team is averaging 250 yards a game rushing and 40 points a game.
Freeze never successfully running the ball just isn’t true.
If you can’t connect the dots between Napier and our last 3 failed experiments that’s on you buddyWay to connect completely unrelated topics. What does any of that have to do with your third-grade insult riddled post full of complete farce about a potential coach? You have no argument so you spew some garbage that everyone agrees with (including me) to cover-up your nonsense. Pruitt has done very poorly. So did the last three hires. None of that helps mitigate the idiocy of your post.
Kiffen is not coming here. No one here is going to hire him after the midnight bolt from Knoxville. He is style over substance. If he wasn’t active and funny on Twitter , no one would know who he is except the coach who was fired by Al Davis and also fired at the plane arrival with USC. Lol.If you think a joke about his belt size is the only evidence he is a changed coach compared to his early years (2009 / Tennessee year), don't know what to tell you.
After Schiano got the boot, he was easily the best hire that could have been made if the links of him wanting Steele to team up with him to come to Tennessee was true.
I guess you won't mind getting lit up by him and Ole Miss next year because deep down, you know he's not a good coach?
Based on what?
He went toe to toe with 2 of the best coaches in the country at Tennessee and then like 6 people at his dream job said no and they offered him. We'd literally have no problem if someone did that where we got a coach.
He went 28-15 at sanctions ridden USC and everyone was dying for him to be fired only to watch Sark and Helton not make any major improvements outside of the Rose Bowl season 3.5 seasons after Kiffin and Sark's boozing.
Kiffin went to school with Saban and was easily the best OC in the country under Saban.
Now he was at FAU for 3 seasons where he won better than anything they have done in over a decade. I'm not sure why people would think he would need to stick around a Conference USA school once winning for longer than 3-4 years.......
Kiffin was projected to go 2-3 wins tops this season at best and was a fumble and rigged Auburn game away from winning 6 games this year. Anyone can see that Kiffin is still very creative and can run an offense that will hang points and compete in the SEC. Ole Miss' longest problem has always been defense. If he gets the defense even somewhat manageable, he could have Ole Miss rolling.
I think Kiffin back to Tennessee would actually be the best hire in theory because he is a prick enough to be cocky about rewriting the Lane Kiffin as Tennessee coach story. He also wants to beat the sh!t out of Saban. If Steele doesn't get the job at Auburn, Kiffin would be well on his way if he can hire him to run the defense at Ole Miss.
People who think Kiffin is the same coach as say 2009 - 2013 are cray cray. Kiffin has gained like 40 pounds. No way he still running shenanigans like he did early on in his career.
That’s because the people In charge are allergic toSo would i but when Hubbs out front says it’s hard to see the university going down that road as much as I hate it it’s prolly true
