Think SEC has told all of the teams that get invited that they are going if they have enough bodies.

LSU banned themselves form a bowl though, you'd think we coulda done the same if this NCAA trouble was anything major. I would suspect it's not now

Am I the only one who thinks we don’t need a transfer QB? We’ll have bailey, shrout, and salter. That’s a good QB room imo
I think we have other, more pressing needs. A good transfer QB would be nice, but a couple of CBs that can actually cover, an edge rusher, maybe an ILB that can cover a slant, perhaps some safety help...those would be better, IMO. Of course, we also need to see if any of our guys transfer and what holes that may open up. And, oh yeah, we might have to worry about finding these players while dealing with scholarship reductions. So who the hell knows what we're gonna do?

I still think Pruitt is gone, but I just don’t get accepting the bowl bid. Are the violations not bad enough to warrant a postseason ban? Does UT just think it will be a slap on the wrist now?

Have Hubbs, Price or 247 commented on the bowl invite yet?
Hubbs said the SEC is pushing its teams to accept the bowl invites.

Hyams mentioned after the game yesterday that the SEC guaranteed bowl officials that SEC teams would accept. He mentioned that if UT backed out, the SEC might withhold bowl revenue
I get that, we need all the revenue we can get this year but consider this for a second. With all the talk about Pruitt being done, is it possible the coaches and players will even care about being in the game?

I think it’s been blown out of proportion a bit. It was leaked for UT’s purpose on possibly moving on from JP. I would be shocked if it’s serious enough to warrant giving up a bowl. As LAVol said, this investigation has been going on for weeks. Just became public.

This is the vibe I had as well.

interesting. Hadn’t heard that. I guess LSU said screw the money we’re gonna self impose.

The results don’t matter, the payout counts the same.

Bc through-out history, this isn’t a huge violation
think about what it has taken for programs to get huge post season bans and scholarship sanctions.
USC - paying players and agents buying homes
Penn state - Sandusky
Ohio state - memorabilia and payment
UNC - university wide cheating/grade scandal
Miami - pay for play over the course 15-20 years
and even those punishments
Were fairly tame compared to what smaller schools get for trying to join the ranks of elite
