I still say Freeze is the best hire because everyone knows he's only got one strike left, so he will be on his best behavior and will make sure he is out of the picture in terms of any booster/bagmen goings on...

Why is this ad at the bottom of my page? The caption says "Stop wiping your butt". Is this from Gucci talking about bidets?

What’s she reaching for in there?

It absolutely is. Dave Doeren...Mike Grundy x2 ...Charlie Strong.

What evidence you got?

Unpopular opinion, but we would have been way better off spending half a million more to get Charlie Strong to come here from Louisville. Texas is a toxic WarZone where decent coaches go to die.

Between the racial issues and locker room issues he walked into on day 1, he was dead mean walking at Texas.

Allowing him to leave Knoxville without a signed contract (aka paying him a tad bit extra) and talking to Louisville one last time was biggest mistake possible with the 2012 coaching search.

While a defensive coach, he clearly had no qualms hiring guys to run an offense how they see fit. Plus he had an axe to grind with Florida. He was a better fit at the real UT than the little UT.

But he will be ultimately responsible. He can't say that he has no knowledge of anything. Maybe hopefully when athletes can be compensated, it won't matter.

Are you sure? He doesn’t even know how to use a burner phone when calling hookers.

Good morning gang. Just passing along. Swain said this morning he still doesn’t believe Pruitt will be back in 2021.

That’s good. This is one aspect we’ve never had in the AD with Fulmer. While he has to get input from boosters, he’s also prolly hearing from a lot of former players. Outside of Peyton, the admin and aD never really had a pipeline to the former players. I still remember Hamilton refusing to meet with players after Fulmer announcement before Wyoming game and the only real back and forth was players calling out Hamilton during the press conference. I believe it was Josh Briscoe and a few others.

Regardless of what people want to believe, Fulmer is best thing for getting input from former players that aren’t just the headline names. I think if there is real momentum behind the folks that wore the T and put in the years to “modernize” how Tennessee does coaching searches, we will be fine.

I thought Charlie Strong was about as close to a sure thing as you can get his career trajectory at and after Texas suggests otherwise.

Wouldn't listen to that guy. Dude is carrying water for the university. Trying to convince they care about winning is the most absurd **** I've ever read lol
It’s obvious to me that they care about winning but the UT administration just absolutely sucks at it.

Listened to the Nation this morning. CLow basically said if they can fire for cause he's for sure gone. If not, then it was TBD. Things could look one way, and turn on a dime. Look at Malzahn was told he was canned right before team meeting. I don't think anything has been decided yet, until the T for C is determined.

If you get offered the Texas job, it’s hard to turn it down. Don’t blame him for going. However, it was horrible fit from day 1. I really wished we would have gotten him. Between having a chip on his shoulder (Florida Admin) and his recruiting pipeline, it just made sense.

I don’t think just because he failed at Texas, he would have failed here. I also don’t think he was a given to be a sure thing either. I do think we would have been better than Butch though after seeing we wound up moving from Butch

Here’s something for you all to stew on: Pruitt hasn’t been interviewed by compliance yet.

Allow yourselves to imagine why it might be beneficial for the administration to get that interview on the books before making a decision.
